G&G Jamaican Delights — Restaurant in Ocoee

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am vegan and inquired what brand coconut milk they used in their rice and peas as some brands adds sodium caseinate which is a milk derivative. The lady at the front went and got the chef which approached me with an attitude and said: I cook the food authentic Jamaican style for everyone and if you are going to ask what’s in it you should cook your own food at home. I am a first time customer and this rude, out of order woman is telling me to stay home and cook my own food. I stood their in shock!! I told her normally I do, but because I was getting my hair braided I figured I’d get some thing from the food court. I got white rice, plantains and cabbage. The food was awful. Yuck. The plantains had oil dripping from it, the white rice was lumpy and the cabbage was ok.

I inquired about the ingredients in the Guyanese food, Haitian food and the Asian food and they answered my question/s very politely. Only this Jamaican woman was rude and out of order. I WILL NOT RETURN AND I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS RESTAURANT. Jamaicans are known to have the worse customer service and my experience today...

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! The woman working at the counter on March 16th 2022 at 3pm sold me an old ROCK HARD MOLDED PIECE of bread ! And when I went back to exchange it she gave me the nasties attitude and told me “THAT DOESNT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ME, you brought it and left with it so that’s your problem” mind you I’m 5 months pregnant and was with my 9 year old son! The ppl in the back working there along side her also did NOTHING! They all looked me in my face and carried on in the back like nothing! NO GLOVES NO HAIR NETS! Just unsanitary and careless! One older woman with just as bad of an attitude even laughed when I asked for the manager or who owned the place! DO NOT EAT THERE!!! They will sell you old food that’s been sitting and do NO FORM OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIX THEIR ERROR!!!! Just as rude as it gets!!! Clearly none of them working there likes what they do, and they definitely don’t like their customers! Just close the place DOWN! I should have known something wasn’t right when she tossed my bread in the microwave! Smh trying to soften up the old piece of ROCK HARD BREAD!...

The food is great. Best oxtails in Orlando I found. I would always drive and hour every other weekend just to get the food but the reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the 2 ladies have the worst attitude. The guy that owns the place is very nice. My husband asked for a piece of the bread and the younger looking lady gone tell him the price and he had to tell her I didn’t ask for the price I don’t care how much it is when I want something I want it. She said it like you can’t afford it. You don’t do that to customers give them what they ask for if you are there to serve then just do that don’t be trying to be little someone. My Husband and I decided not to go back because if we spending our money that we work hard for we want to be appreciated and spend it with people that can give respect and know how to treat their customers.
