Most of the staff here is really nice and really friendly and helpful, so I think this is a good Best Buy store. Their Geek Squad acts helpful and friendly too, but unfortunately I brought them a tablet for service. I expected that the device would be checked for OS issues or outdated drivers and have any updated/repaired. I couldn’t find any myself, but I’m no trained technician. Instead, the technician here just uninstalled programs - including my very reputable and effective anti-virus software. He also uninstalled a couple of reputable browser extensions and my entire preferred browser, which he called ā€œviruses.ā€ He even uninstalled the software for my printer. Was that a virus too? šŸ™„ Of course, this speeds up the device, but it didn’t address any underlying issues, and as soon as I reinstall features I use, the problem he masked will still be there. Besides that, his choice does not at all address the issues with Microsoft Office programs on the device - which are not online. He did try to tell me that Microsoft Word is online. 😐 He also tried to claim that Windows was showing yellow statuses where they’d been green right before I dropped off the tablet. I did check all the available diagnostic tools before seeking ā€œprofessionalā€ assistance. I’m sure once he uninstalled my antivirus software that it turned yellow, as there was no firewall! I just think this was an inappropriate choice in the first place. Why would you uninstall people’s programs and protections without consulting them? How is that helping or repairing? Note: I have been using these programs for years and just recently started having the issues he was meant to be diagnosing and fixing. Instead, he spent two hours uninstalling every useful feature I had. šŸ˜’ His official report also does not note any viruses found by malware scan, as shown in photo.

Went to Best Buy this evening to replace some earbuds that I had purchased. The customer service girl was friend and courteous. I wanted to purchase some different earbuds, she told me I could go and pick some out. I went over to the earbuds area and waited and waited and waited. A male and a female were at the front desk as you enter Best Buy, the female looked at me and made eye contact, and the walked out the door. The male continued to mess around on the computer. A blond male, tall and skinny showed up on the other side of the desk. My wife became impatient and walked of and asked for some help. The skinny blond came over and I told him what I was wanting. He took the item back over to the customer service area where I was checking out. I thanked him for helping me, he ignored me and walked back to the front desk. He acted as if I was bothering him for asking for assistance to get an item that was locked up. I’m posting a picture of the male and female that were standing at the front desk, and the female was the one that made eye contact and then walked out the door. I wish I would have gotten the name of the rude blond male that acted as if I was bothering him for needing to get an item that was locked up. Or would have gotten a picture of home hanging out with these two in the picture.

I gave this Best Buy five stars for their customer service . as always, you can buy washer and dryers from anywhere, but I chose this store.I really like a particular LG product. Best Buy is the one that carries it. I got the washer a few weeks ago everything went seamlessly. The dryer showed up today, and again everything went seamlessly. the delivery guys from the Odessa store Nugent and his helper were awesome. I highly recommend them so if you’re going to buy a product and you need to have it delivered, you might get lucky and have Nugent very nice guy

I would like to share an impressive and awesome experience I had at the Best Buy in Odessa Texas. Upon arrival, I spoke with Geek Squad Manager/ Tech, Mike and Data(Shekla) regarding an RTX Graphics Card installation into my Grandsons Gaming PC. They quickly gathered the the Gaming PC with the Graphics Card and without hesitation, they immediately began to evaluate the process. Once, the check-in process was complete, I left feeling positive knowing that my computer products were in good hands, as they both displayed extreme knowledge and strong professionalism with their work responsibilities. Later, I received a notification letting me know the computer products were ready for pick-up. I quickly returned to the store and found the Gaming PC ready for use. However, a few days later, I called and spoke with a Customer Service Representative at Best Buy as the RTX Graphics Card Dual Ports were not working properly. However, I was thrilled to hear the Customer Service Representative inform me that the RTX Graphics Card was still under warranty, so I quickly re-scheduled an uuinstallation "removal" appointment. I returned to Best Buy on the following day with the Computer products and again spoke with Mike and Data. They were extremely happy to assist with the uninstallation of the Graphics Card. Then, I prepared and mailed out the RTX Graphics Card for repair with Best Buy 's third party , MSI (Micro-Star International Computer Hardware Company.) MSI also wasted no time in repairing and promptly returning the RTX Graphics Card within a week. The Gaming PC was, once again immediately re-scheduled for the RTX Graphics Card re-installation. I returned to Best Buy and was happily greeted by Mike and Data as they quickly began the re-installation process of the RTX Graphics Card into the Gaming PC once again. Again, I was notified that the Gaming products were ready for pick-up. I arrived at the Best Buy in Odessa to find the Gaming PC ready for use and to my astonishment, these amazing experts, Mike and Data had also taken the time to thoroughly clean out the inside of the Gaming PC, displaying a beautiful RTX Graphics Card. They did an amazing and superb job, all while being extremely patient and kind during the "back and forth" , almost endless situation of installing, uninstalling and reinstalling. Thank you Mike and Data(Shekla) for your excellent service and the remarkable, unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Mike and Data(Shekla) for all of the Gaming PC's, Computers, Tablets, Smartphones, Smartwatches, and all other electronics and devices service needs that anyone may have. They are both extremely knowledgeable and professional Geek Squad Manager/Tech. Thank you both...

I would like to share my HORRIBLE shopping experience with you I have had to endure today. I ordered and paid (using PayPal) a Hard Disk Drive which I really needed. I chose Store pickup since it was available at the Odessa (TX) Bestbuy and I had planned on simply swinging by to pick it up. I ordered at 2:17pm. I received confirmation from both Paypal and Bestbuy that my purchase order had been received and paid for only a couple of minutes later. I arrived at Bestbuy at about 3:30pm, where I was told that my order was not ready yet, hadn't been processed nor arrived at the store, so that I could not be given the item I had already paid for. I was told to wait 20-30mins for the order to go through. I thanked the person at the desk and let about 45mins go by before returning to the store. To my dismay, I was told YET AGAIN that my order hadn't been received by the store and that I still couldn't get the item I had PAID FOR ALREADY. I asked if there was anything that could be done to accelerate the process, since all this defeated the purpose of ordering online and picking up an order at the store. If I had been able to wait, I would have had it shipped. After a lot of running around, I finally decided to cancel my order and asked to talk to the store manager. Reluctantly and with a rude tone, I was told that it'd be taken care of and the manager arrived, not greeting me, not even acknowledging my presence. After being told by the team mate who had cancelled my order, he turned towards me and started to tell me that it was due to fraud protection (which is wrong, since purchases with Paypal are immediate and I had proof that the transaction had been processed). He was rude, unapologetic, did not want to make ANY kind of effort help me out by, for example, offering me to pay for the item differently or anything. He finally waved me off and pretty much told me to get out of his store. This was the worst way I have EVER been treated as a customer in a store and I hope that someone up in the corporate ladder will take care of this poor excuse for a manager. I will tell all my customers to steer clear from this store (business account holders) until this person is removed from a management position for which he is...
