RUN don't walk away from this dentist , Dr Jeff and staff. Do not let this dentist pull any of your teeth and especially your children's. I have seen four dentists in my lifetime, 62 years old, and this dentist was the most horrible one at numbing the area where he would inject the needle for the rest of the numbing to pull teeth. My other experiences with past dentist were they were more gentle, more professional, listened to my concerns then this dentist. I suffered great pain from this dentist pulling several teeth and ended up with the bottom half of my face swollen and bruised from the bottom of my mouth down to my neck and I have pictures to prove it. I looked like I had the mumps, which I had as a child. I would not take a child to this dentist and hopefully this is a warning to adults to go somewhere else. I went there because of the previous dentist Dr Haney who was wonderful. I drove the extra 30 miles today to have another dentist take care of all the issues I had with this one. I also had to pay $1,600 to have an oral surgeon take care of a mishap this dentist , Dr Jeff, did with my bottom jaw. I have so much more to say but I'll stop here. I do plan to file a Better Business Bureau report and look at my options to file a small claims court case against this practice. UPDATE: I did not fabricate any thing I listed above. When I told the young tech that my face, jaw had been swollen for 2 weeks and I had bruises on my lips and down my chin plus my face was swollen from my bottom lip down into my next.after Dr Jeff pulled my teeth. I mentioned I had the pictures on my phone. As I was getting ready to pull the pics up Dr Jeff walked in. I told him I had issues after my teeth were pulled and it was really bad. He said "oh" and proceeded to look at my gums. There was never any interest in my complaints. I never asked for free services. On my last visit to get the denture lined I was told it would take at least 4 days to get it done and with their new lab it could and probably would be longer. When I complained to the senior tech that was ridiculous to wait over a week , she then asked me "Why, Do you have something important for this coming weekend?". I was done at this point. I told them there are local labs that get them done in 24 hours. I leftI and made a 15 minute drive to lab in Blue Springs that had the dentures relined by the end of the day and instead of paying $750 to have them lined at Dr Jeff Odessa family dental this lab charged me $350. I've never been happier since I finally left his office. I have so many other instances of poor care that I received but at this point the office is not taking this...

A very warm kind atmosphere. They formulated a plan to get me back on tract. And did so without making me feel embarrassed. Dr. Jeff has a passion for saving the teeth not just pulling them. The technology they have is the latest and greatest! Because I had no dental Insurance. Dentist offices wouldn’t even put me on a schedule to be seen. Dr. Jeff and his staff didn’t blink a eye and immediately got me in. As we all know Dental insurance truly doesn’t cover much at all anyways. Odessa family dental has two different plans. Depending on periodontal disease. A yearly fee covers ex rays, and 2-4 cleaning’s a year depending on your plan. It also allows you to get a percentage off any dental procedures needed. This ends up saving you $100’s. He understands that a smile is worth a thousand words. The eyes and our smile is the first thing others truly notice. It’s worth the investment. Dr. Jeff does his utter best to create a plan and work towards achieving it! I truly was floored by his kindness, knowledge and utter authentic drive to bring his patients the results they want and need. All the staff is also very kind and compassionate. I truly won’t be going anywhere else! There is no need to take a long drive into the big city! Odessa family dental surpasses any dental office I have ever gone to! Go in and see for yourself. Where to begin.. so I got referred to try this dentist from a friend. I’ve had horrible experiences with others before. I went to a consultation Dr. Jeff. I went in thinking I’d need implants because I thought my teeth were beyond repair. He told me in his opinion he wouldn’t do that. He wanted to be able to give me my confidence and the smile I wished for. Went in today and the staff there from the front counter to the back is at a level I’ve never experienced before. The assistance and hygienist he has working for him are absolutely amazing and funny. I felt as if I wasn’t just another goofy guy getting his teeth done. Granted I’m goofy but that guy missed his smile and everything that goes with it. I was only smiling 50% of what I wanted all the time. A special thanks to Laci! She worked on my teeth today made sure I was ok throughout the whole thing, super funny and even though I couldn’t respond to a lot but it was mostly giggling the whole time! I got my smile back that was holding me back from being happy again. I can honestly feel in my heart I’ve found my dentist for not only me but my daughter.
