Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Odessa

I don’t review very often. Only when an experience is exceptionally bad or exceptionally good. Last night, my wife put an order in at Odessa Sonic at 8:14pm and she did not receive her correct order until 9:04pm!!! Almost an hour.

She received the wrong order (completely) at 8:40.

Then, when the correct ice creams were finally delivered at 9:04, they were well melted, which tells me there was no hurry to get the correct order out, or even purposely sat on the counter.

Furthermore, it used to be common for restaurants to try to make things right, by giving you coupons for a free meal or not charging you for the current meal when service is so awful. No such attempt was made by any server and all that was said to my wife was “sorry”.

We will no longer go to Odessa Sonic. We really like the current menu at Sonic, but every time we go to THIS Sonic, the wait time is long and it seems something is always wrong in the order (which in looking at other individuals’ reviews, seems to be a common experience for at least the last year). Ordered in drive through. After placing my order the girl asked me again what my order was and said sorry someone was talking to her. I repeated my order and she repeated it to me wrong. I am frustrated but figured it’s just another one of those days. Got to the window paid and waited for my order. Got my order in a timely manner and went to work to eat. Order was wrong. Had cheese on my burger that was cold and black (cooked way overdone) I didn’t ask for that. Then the onion rings were extra small and had 6 in the bag for a medium order. When I say small onion rings they were so small I could fit the whole thing in my extra small adult mouth. My point is where has quality and good service gone? I don’t want free food and I don’t want my money back. I want what I expect the first time of service. My God their food is horrible. Tastes like everything has been cooked in grease that's 10 years old. How are they not shut down????
