VII Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Questionable food safety standards and customer service. Delicious food. Very consistent Pho flavor. With many other Pho place, there are someday that the broth are be good and someday they aren't. Not here. You can expect the same delicious flavor of the broth everyday in the week. Other items are good too. Service is okay except this experience I had one time: if there is something weird in your food, you can't count on their service to make it right. So we see something weird in our salad (which I suspect is mold, and it looks like it, because surely it's not pepper). I told the waitress about it and see what they would do to take care of the problem. To my surprise, she take it into the kitchen and then bring it back and told us there is nothing wrong with it, just how it looks like. If this is any other establishment, they would apologize, get rid of that salad and do not charge us for it. One time I had a burger in the Garage, and when the waiter hear I said that the patty is a little overdone, a little burnt, he offered to redo it. I said it's ok, I just let him know since he ask and I don't need him to redo it because I already eat half the burger ( I was hungry). After wards when I pay the bill the then give me a store voucher for more than the value of that burger. That is the kind of customer service I've come expect when a restaurant do not do things right. Not here. So come in, know that the food will taste delicous, but if there is something wrong, they will deny it and won't make it right. I was shocked to see the mold in the salad and after comparing it with images on google, I pretty sure those black spot are mold. Which is not surprising on how these restaurants...

My family and I went here for the first time around lunchtime yesterday. It was busy and quite a few big tops. Our server seemed rushed as she took our order. I did not get her name. I ordered the iced french coffee with sweetened condensed milk and I had pointed to it on the menu. I don't recall her repeating any of our order back to us. When we received our drinks mine was a blended coffee beverage that I did not order. I did not have time to let her know I recieved the wrong drink. A food runner brought our food to the table, and I let them know I had the wrong drink and if I could get the right one. I was not upset. Our server came up and I told her the situation. She told me something along the lines of "Let me get this straight you said blended and pointed to it on the menu." Which was not true. I was not there to argue and I understood they were busy when we ordered, so I just retold her what I wanted. She hesitated and seemed flustered/upset at having to get her manager for a remake. A tall guy came up to our table and shortly confirmed with me the drink. I don't know if he was the manager, there was no introduction. Throughout this experience, I was not in a rush and I was not rude. I thanked her when she brought the correct drink and she was short and dismissive.

I understood that they were busy, but I got the impression this place prioritizes fast service over basic hospitality. The experience I had did not need to be a negative one if it was only...

We ate here on Sunday and we arrived around 2pm for a late lunch. I could tell as soon as we arrived it was very busy, people were rushing around, there were lots of trash on the floor. Tables were dirty. We stood in the doorway for a couple minutes, not a bad wait time. We sat and my husband went to wash his hands, we ordered drinks and before he came back the waitress already wanted us to order. I told her we still were waiting for my husband. As soon as he came back I told him my order so he could order the food for all of us while I went to wash our hands. Our food came out very quickly. The taste was mediocre. Honesty we had a horrible time because we felt rushed to eat and leave. When the waitress came with our check my husband held out his hand for it, but she placed it on the table out of his reach because she was not even looking at us. She never came back after that and he walked the check to the counter. The food was ok but the meal was not enjoyable. We rarley sit down at a restaurant because of covid and we have a new baby. I wish we went to another restaurant which may have been less busy and made our dining...
