Let's start with saying the food was good and our waitress was doing a good job. It's more about what happened after dinner.
I'm a tourist in a different country and I got my card declined for the first time. Apparently their payment provider is not risking accepting foreign cards. That can happen as well.
The manager was trying to be nice but wasn't really helping me navigate the situation. I was asking if I could pay by Paypal or any other of these payment apps, but they only would accept another card or anything that would present a card number to them. (I have no idea if that's standard for paying in the US. In Germany, all these American-based companies - GPay, Apple Pay, etc, and our cards all work on the same scan terminals - which I also saw around here in many businesses). So basically he was narrowing down my options to nothing - I couldn't send them money.
When I asked if an ATM was nearby they said they knew of none in the area (manager and waitress).
By sheer chance I had enough cash to pay my bill but not for the tip. I then found an ATM in a nearby convenience store within less than five minutes walking distances and it accepted my card just fine. I returned to give the tip.
Ever since I've been rather paranoid about carrying enough cash, which is anyways probably a good idea. But the same card got accepted on an ATM, at the zoo, stores, etc, even on the same day, before and after. Please have some alternative payment options available just in case, it's already embarrassing enough.
Especially since the device displayed "possible fraud" for my credit card. Good grief. Lesson learned, but this could have gone better. Not saying it was horrific, either, but just have a workable plan B please other than "another card or cash." Had I had another card, it would have been from a German bank as...
Read moreCreative and Innovative - Sunday Brunch is a work of art! 10:00am – 3:00pm on Sundays 🤩 It took me 4 years but I finally experienced my first brunch at Picasso Café. It was fantastic! My grown kiddos and I enjoyed every bite. My son ordered the Hot Stack Waffles (two waffles with green chili pulled pork topped with two over easy eggs and maple bacon syrup); he loved it, specifically had good things to say about the bacon. My daughter ordered the Garden Benedict (everything bagel topped with fresh mozzarella, arugula, heirloom tomatoes, and two poached eggs. Incudes chipotle hollandaise and balsamic caramel drizzle); she was very pleased and had good things to say about the side of grits. I tend to lean toward vegetarian and vegan dishes, and Picasso Café has an extensive non-meat menu. But today I decided on the Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles. I enjoyed both the chicken and the waffle. I requested the honey spice sauce on the side, and I’m glad I did! It was delicious, but would have been too spicy for my pallet. We shared the Smoked Salmon + Avocado Spring Rolls and all 3 of us ordered the Cuban Espresso but the White Chocolate Raspberry coffee is a local favorite. Enjoy alcohol at brunch? They have a booze brunch menu just for you! If you’re new to the OKC Paseo Arts District, plan on exploring while you’re here. Whether you are an art enthusiast or not, this is a gem of a location! Overall wonderful experience and 10/10 must try! We didn’t order alcohol or dessert but we did have an appetizer. Our total after 20% tip was $92. Worth every penny. Can you really put a price tag on...

Service 10/10
This place is good for some things if you’re vegan, vegetarian or on a GF diet/lifestyle I recommend this place. Some things are good some are okay.
I went with my boyfriend and we ordered lobster bisque, fried goat cheese 🐐, artichoke ravioli (vegan), and steak pasta total was $53. We expected this place to be expensive so it wasn’t a surprise to us.
Lobster bisque: My favorite thing that we ate and it was very flavorful, I think it’s worth ordering. I did find it to be a bit too salty. Worth ordering though. 8/10
Fried goat cheese: it’s fried cheese, it’s good and it has honey with arugula. i didn’t really care for the arugula but it does “brighten up the dish”. 7.5/10
Artichoke pasta: it lacked salt and honestly i thought it was okay 5.5/10. The artichoke was pickled and i didn’t think it complemented the “creamy pasta” with the smoky salted onions. Would not recommend.
Steak Pasta: the better of the two pastas but again lacked salt which was easily fixable. Once we added salt the flavor of the sauce came out more. I liked it. 7.8/10
Service was great, our waiter was super nice and I liked that they would clear the plates fast and the food came out fast as well. Originally we had reservations for lunch at “The Other Room”, which is right next door and I didn’t like that we weren’t greeted at all or at least told to sit down wherever we’d like. I thought it was kind of weird especially with a reservation. It also gave like a dark bar vibe so that was kind of too much for me for lunch, I had just...
