Hobby Lobby — Local services in Olathe

I was sent away at the door because I'm not a senior citizen. I understand that taking precautions during this pandemic is important, but I am following all of the encourage guidelines for safety and health by arriving wearing a mask. This location is only allowing senior citizens to shop during the first hour of open business. This information is not posted on their website or on Google search. Being a healthcare worker and having young children it is hard for me to find time to be able to run errands without my children. in this rare moment that I had and I did not need to look after my children, I wanted to work on a project for our living room, I was turned away at the door. When asked why there was no information posted about only senior citizens being allowed to shop during the first hour of business, the employee replied to me the information is posted on our door and if you had called we would have told you. The stay-at-home order for Johnson county has been lifted I feel that it's more important for the businesses to encourage good practice of hygiene and safety of health rather than turning away business from a healthy customer. I am a huge Hobby Lobby fan so this info is for this particular location. I am not able to stand or walk for an extended time so I was using the store wheelchair. I was looking at flowers, wedding, greenery, etc. Unfortunalely for me, there was a lot of stocking going on and the entire aisle against the front of the store was loaded with carts full of merchandise. I was attempting to get thru to the next aisle. I got caught between the baskets and the end cap and it too me several minutes to get unstuck then turn around and go to the next aisle from the other end which I had to do on every aisle. The worst issue was there was an employee about 4 aisles from me while just stood and watched when I got stuck. No offer to help, no moving any carts, nothing! If I hadn't needed the items for my daughter's wedding the next day, I would have just put down my items and left the store. This isn't the normal I've previously experienced at...

Would give negative stars if I could. Terrible customer service. I will never shop at this location again. I needed ONE 4.99 cup put on hold after trying the 2 other hobby lobby’s in my area. ONE CUP, for a flower girl in a wedding. The only other location that had 2 cups, only one was usable due to the fact that the straws had been stolen out of the others and the kids were cracked. So I had no choice but to put one on hold and they couldn’t even hold one cheap cup over night bc I had already driven all over town and I was 30 minutes away and couldn’t don’t until the best day after work. The employee was also terribly rude. When big box stores are going out of business and can shop at the convenience of their own home you would think they would be a little more accommodating.
