More than once we've found ourselves here for a quick fast-casual Greek dinner after trips to neighboring Menards. Overall the experience has been enjoyable and food fresh, but our recent visit was a little off. Short version: It's probably more reliable to order from the counter instead of the kiosk, and go on the early side for dinner. Definitely willing to give it another try. We opted to order from the kiosk this time, great (in theory) for customizing your order, but it seemed to confuse the kitchen. They were out of hummus, which we had ordered as a side with pita bread. Maybe they ran out for the day since it was 1 hour before close? After some hesitation about what to do, they credited that back to our card and still kindly gave us some pita with tzatziki, a nice surprise. We also ordered a pork souvlaki plate and got both pork and chicken (4 skewers instead of the standard 2), a welcomed surprise since I ended up enjoying the chicken more (more tender, but both were still good). I substituted rice in place of fries, but the kitchen thought the order requested both and asked us for clarification. My companion's fries were plentiful but limp, so the rice was the right way to go. Maybe the fries were just another late-in-the-day casualty. Side salad was great! Had some leftovers after all the bonus food, but they were out of to-go containers. We managed to transfer the food (sans fries) to a disposable bowl so we could return the plastic basket and carefully transport our food home. It was a strange visit, but ultimately we had a decent dinner. The staff were kind, and I think they did everything they could to provide a good experience despite some obstacles.

**Update** 08/2025 We’ve been loyal customers of Nick the Greek since they first opened three years ago, so we were excited to see them reopen after being closed for so long. Naturally, we decided to go back for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. After placing our order, I tipped in good faith, expecting at least a small level of service in return. When our food was ready, it was called out just like the takeout orders. I indicated that we were dining in, but the staff insisted we still needed to pick it up ourselves. When I mentioned that I had tipped, I was told, “We have a process.” Another customer even chimed in, suggesting I “just don’t tip next time.” I don’t fault the young employee directly, as it was clear she was simply following what she had been told. The real issue lies with management. Staff should be trained to recognize dine-in customers, listen to them, and show flexibility—especially when tips are requested up front. Sadly, this visit has left us with a very poor impression, and we’ll be avoiding Nick the Greek (and similar restaurants that ask for tips, but provide no service in return) moving forward. ----------------------3 Years ago ----------------- First time here and will definitely be coming back. Service was outstanding and the food is far better than I've had at other Greek establishments. Do not skip the Greek fries! Enough to share with someone else.

I went here on the advice of a good friend and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. this is a small storefront, it is clean and inviting with adequate seating with a dozen or so tables. The menu is Greek and they have different meat to choose from for their gyros, which is what we were there for. We decided on traditional gyros with beef and lamb, sides of the greek fries which came with topping see and a side salad. They also had lemon soup, a couple different kinds of Greek soda in bottles, baklava and soft serve frozen yogurt. The gyros all come with a couple of fries in it, which we didn't mind. Everything was delicious, the meat was seasoned just right, the tomatoes and onions were fresh, the only thing I would've added was lettuce instead of French fries, but that's minor. The cucumber sauce was also tasty in just the right quantity. Oh, and the pita itself was soft, warm and fresh, yum! The only thing I regret is that I didn't have room for baklava and frozen yogurt. This is a great combination that is impossible to find outside of the local Greek festivals. So, I will definitely be going back. This is one chain I can give a thumbs up to.
