STAY AWAY FROM THIS MERCHANT!!! I can’t emphasize enough to stay away. I ordered a custom shelf and paid them $966+. They said it would take 2 weeks. It took almost a month to receive the shelf. When I got the shelf, they did not build it to my written instructions. I asked for a lip on the front of the shelf. They put a lip on the front and on the sides, making it unusable. I reached back to their customer service and they said “I know it wasn’t exactly what you ordered, but we are a small firm, please work with us.” I asked for them to pay shipping and for a full refund. They refused. They said I had to pay shipping (which would have undoubtedly cost me several hundred dollars for a 72” floating shelf) and that I would have to pay a 50% restocking fee for a mistake they made. We never came to a resolution, so I have a 72” floating shelf with lips on 3 sides that is unusable by me sitting in my garage and they have my $966+. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. They have basically stolen from me at this point! Read all the reviews. This is what they do. They are based in Kansas. So much for mid-west values! Karma will get them some day. STAY AWAY! We are in the process of a total renovation and have needed to purchase a lot of new decor that goes well with the cottage like theme/colors. I bought this moderately distressed cream floor vase for the dining room and couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out. J Thomas homes was more than happy to accomadate my custom request and allowed me to change the staining option I’d originally ordered much after I’d placed the order. You really can not beat the quality. I’ve learned that store bought decor most always is cheaply made ansbnor worth the hefty price tag. This vase is extremely solid, will not break or wear out, and most importantly, I didn’t have to settle with something that would not just work in the space, but is perfect and exactly as I wanted. The store owner kept in touch with me, responded very quickly and just overall went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my purchase. 5 stars all day...

This was my first purchase with J Thomas Home and it definitely won't be my last! I was looking for a shelf to build a coffee station in my kitchen, and found exactly what I was looking for on their site. I wasn't sure about the stain colors and I think I drove them crazy asking questions but they were so sweet, responded much quicker than expected, sent me sample photos, etc. It's hard to tell colors online sometimes but after communicating with them, and ordering, the shelf is EXACTLY what I had hoped it would be. My husband and I just finished building the coffee station and we couldn't be happier. We've already gotten so many compliments from family and friends. I've posted a photo on their Etsy page.
