If I could give negative stars I would. Please do not go here.
I went in for an ultrasound. Doctors office faxed my prescription to the number listed on their website. That number was not accurate. They gave another number. Office faxed it to them and they waited until I arrived to let me know they hadn’t received it, despite the doctors office faxing it earlier that day. One of the receptionists even said that the fax had not been working.
So I come back the next day where I meet the worst ultrasound tech I’ve ever encountered. I was prescribed an internal and external exam. She let me know that she wasn’t allowed to do an internal exam. It was against the rules and when I had one done at university radiology earlier this year, they had broken the rules. This is not true. I don’t know who told her this but it’s not true. At the end of the exam she told me go to the bathroom and then after I returned opened the door for me to exit without so much as a glance at me. She did not read my forms or even notice during the exam that I have an IUD.
so when any mention of my IUD was missing from the report I called this office to see why. They let me know that they don’t mention IUDs unless that’s why you’re there and not to worry about it. I said ok. Few hours later they call back and were like so we spoke to your doctor and it turns out you have an IUD (who knew?! Those pesky things just sneak up on you) but we didn’t see one on the exam so we need you to come back so we can find it. I’m now freaking out and like yeah I’ll be there in a second. No. They let me know I couldn’t come back until the radiologist who read the report is back in the office in a week. I asked if that was safe and okay and they said yeah don’t worry about it we’ll see you next week. My doctors office was surprised that they were so lax about a missing IUD. I was freaking out for a week.
Week later I come in and they have no idea why I’m there. Where’s your prescription? They asked me. I explain that I’m here because you messed up and said you didn’t see my IUD and still sent me home. The receptionist calls around and lets me know I can’t be seen without a prescription. I’m trying not to laugh at how incompetent this office is. Does no one here know how to do their job? Ultrasound tech comes out and I explain to her why I’m there. She asks for a prescription. I mention that she did not note my IUD and the doctor didn’t see one which they both should have done last time. She asks me if I have an IUD. I confirm I do and that I mentioned it last time. She makes some calls and someone tells her to throw out the old ultrasound and start over. She finally notes that IUD is there exactly where it’s supposed to be. After a week of me freaking out because this office said that they didn’t see one. It’s exactly where it’s supposed to be. How did a doctor and a radiology...

On Tuesday, January 3, I called the Imaging Center in Old Bridge NJ, to make an appointment. I spoke to someone and we made an appointment for Thursday, January 5. I had an Rx which we determined was incorrect. She said she would contact my doctor and get a corrected Rx. This person also said she also would get the pathology report for surgery I had last year. I told her there were 2 copies. There were 2 or 3 errors in the report that another dr had found. I told her the 1 error that I remembered. The next day I received a call from the office to confirm my appointment. The person I spoke to said they did not have the corrected Rx but they would call the Dr again..
When I arrived on Thursday I was told they still had not gotten the Rx. The person I spoke to said they did not have the corrected Rx but they had spoken to the dr. and considered the call a verbal Rx. This person said they will call the dr. again. At the time I was called into the test the tech gave me copies of the test I had last year and a copy of the pathology report. When I was leaving the imaging center I was given copies of the reports for the tests I had just had. In the report the Dr stated she wanted me to have an additional test done. When I got home I looked at the reports I was given. What I found was that the pathology report was the one with the errors.
The next day, Friday I received a call from my physician. He had gotten a copy of the report from the test on Thursday. He was trying to locate the recommendation for further testing. I went over the report and told him where he should be able to find the recommendation. As it turns out they sent him the wrong report. I faxed him the correct copy. We also spoke about him sending them the corrected Rx. He said he had personally faxed them the Rx twice.
I am concerned that if the staff can’t get a correct pathology report, which they were advised about, they don’t send the physician the correct report and don’t have a Rx that was sent to them twice, what else are they getting wrong? How can anything that happens in this...
Read moreI went for an ultrasound and it was one of the most humiliating experiences I’ve ever had with a medical “professional.” My appointment was booked differently than what my prescription said, so instead of fasting like I was told to, I was actually supposed to arrive with a full bladder. The women at the front desk were very nice and had me chug some water while they waited to see if the doctor would still see me, considering.
The doctor (tech?) herself, however, was incredibly rude. She had me explain “why I was there” in the hallway instead of taking me back into an exam room. I was not comfortable having the few people in the waiting room hear my medical details. Then when it was time to do the internal ultrasound, she told me verbatim “go to the bathroom, get undressed from the waist down, and come back out.” She did not at all tell me to actually GO to the bathroom, so I simply changed and returned. I did not have to pee yet anyway because not 10 minutes earlier had I drank all the water they made me have. During the procedure she asked me did you pee? I said no and she scolded me like I was a child, saying she told me to. She angrily removed the ultrasound wand and told me to go to the bathroom. I went in and physically couldnt go! I didnt have to yet, and that I feel isnt my fault. She called out to me multiple times in the bathroom telling me to hurry up and I told her nothing was happening. When I returned she completed the procedure, and afterwards told me she was “sorry if it seemed like she was rushing me,” as she had another patient waiting with a full bladder. Even if my appointment was booked correctly, it would have taken the same amount of time, so why was the next patient prioritized to the point where I was humiliated the way I was?
I understand health professionals are stressed out, I understand the world is crazy right now, but that does not excuse the way I was treated. This was back on Dec 26 and I’m still upset about it. I will never return to this place for any future imaging because I respect myself and would like to keep my...
