Went on a whim, not really knowing what to expect other than online reviews. Upon entering, mind you it’s located in a strip mall, it had a very modern upscale feel, not unexpected by photos seen online, but still extraordinary seeing it in person considering the location. So the impression was immediate, we expected the best. We were served delicious bread, as expected, which was great. The Branzino (their spelling) dish was absolutely delicious! That light tomato broth, not really a sauce, was exceptional! The fish was absolutely cooked to perfection along with the clams, the only complaint was that the mashed potatoes were not even lukewarm. The vegetables were al dente and delicious. Now for the veal Marsala,it was a disappointment, it was a total miss. The sauce was lacking any real flavor not to mention any hint of that unique Marsala wine taste one expects. The mashed potatoes were also below lukewarm, both dishes must have been plated way too soon before the proteins were cooked, bad timing by those in the kitchen, maybe they weren’t busy enough and were complacent. It wasn’t busy as we arrived early before the dinner rush on a weekend, can’t blame it on being overwhelmed. Even though the veal dish was a miss, taking into account the outstanding Branzino dish, atmosphere and outstanding service, I have to give it a 4 star rating. I didn’t mention much about the service which was top notch, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, the front of the house was great. So overall, if that veal Marsala was even just above average, the experience would have probably been rated a 5. I would like to give it a 2nd chance, we’ll see if that’s in the cards in the future. With that, I still would recommend anyone to give it a try.

So, this establishment was recommended to me by my accountant, Patty (thank you). I dined here on a rainy Tuesday evening with my daughter and her grandmother. Mike was our server, and he was so accommodating and pleasant. The focaccia they brought to the table was delicious. We ordered the Napolean appetizer, which was a stack of fried eggplant, mozzarella, and tomatoes drizzled with fig glaze and pesto. I wasn't sure how the fig glaze would balance with the pesto, but it worked. My former mom-in-law (sweetest woman alive) had the artichoke and avocado salad with grilled chicken, and she enjoyed it. My college-aged daughter had the tagliatelle pesto, which she enjoyed (FYI, it comes with many mushrooms). My meal was the orechiette Barese which was PHENOMENAL. The roasted garlic permeated the oil that it was tossed with, ensuring a flavorful bite every time. The broccoli rabe was chopped up, so it was easy to eat. For dessert, we had the carrot cake and tartufo. That tartufo was AMAZING! The portions were generous, so we all brought home leftovers. We look forward to returning.

Fancy authentic Italian restaurant. It was a pleasant experience. Food was awesome. Menu was not that big, however their drink menu has varieties. Tried: Chicken parmesan Napoleon Vodka pizza Margarita pizza Penne pesto broccoli jalapeno You can customize the items. They had complementary fresh baked bread and butter. Restaurant has good amount of sitting space, however there was waiting so be prepared. They have bar on one side and restaurant on other. Proper dress code is recommended not mandatory. It seemed a higher class restaurant with expensive menu. Customer service was excellent, we were helped by Sammy and he was very humble and helping. Keep in mind that's it takes a while for food to come on a busy day. There was enough parking space available, they also had valet parking. I will visit again for trying other food items.

This was my first time here and will NEVER return. Had a 6pm reservation and was seated right away. Waiter came over with bread and read the specials. He came back with our drinks and took our order (apps and entrees). Apps came out about 20 min later with a pizza for my kids and everything was ok at best. About 20 minutes after we finished the apps the waiter came back to tell us our food will be right out in a couple of minutes. Fast forward 30 minutes later and still nothing so he came by to say the same thing that our food will be right out. Another ten minutes passed and he avoided us so finally we said we would just like the check. He asked the manager to come speak to us and she took another 5-10 minutes to come around and then told us same thing “food will be out in 5 minutes”. I told her no just the check, my father told her by this point we have been waiting an hour and a half for the entrees, and she just kept saying it’s coming right out. She said we are slammed which really annoyed me because you claim to be in business for 35 years maybe plan accordingly or hire another chef? This isn’t your first rodeo, you know you get busy, and you were not slammed until about 7pm so from 6-7 you had ample time to cook a chicken parm! Also it was mainly the bar area that was slammed! Finally my husband had to tell her the kids won’t sit anymore we need to leave I want my check she said ok fine. We paid for the apps and pizza and the waiter came by to apologize again saying he asked the chef to rush our order but never got cooked and he asked NUMEROUS managers to come by to talk to us. I told him I don’t want to hear excuses how you’re crowded I know plenty of places that are slammed and don’t have these issues. With the apps being just ok and this nightmare of being dismissive and not even trying to be helpful it’s a huge turnoff. Go...

I had no idea this gem was there. I won a gift card from NJ 101.5 to come and so we chose to celebrate later by coming here. We made a reservation and figured (due to the gift card being $50) it was a more expensive and dressy place. Every single staff member made eye contact and greeted us as we were escorted to our table. I knew from there the service would be good. I ordered the Sicilian Sunrise drink. We wanted to start with appetizers and order our meal later, but they said they do not put apps in without the rest of the order. That was annoying! They sat us at a small table blocked by a huge pillar. THAT was annoying, but when my drink arrived and I had that first sip---all annoyance was forgotten. It was delicious!!! We ordered the sausage egg rolls and those were amazing! Every time something came out of the kitchen and passed our small table we wondered if we should have ordered that instead. haha. I got the chicken Marsala, and my hubby ordered the seafood pasta special. Both were ALSO delicious. I just knew I had to save room for dessert. He had heard the bread pudding was good, so we ordered that. I ordered a carrot cake. We asked if it had coconut in it, but the waiter did not know. So he went back and checked--by tasting. Seeing him come back with a happy smile told me to go ahead and try it. It's been one week and we are still thinking about both desserts! What a great place. It looks casual, but it is pricey and the food...
