This facility has exercise staff that verbally and nonverbally harass patrons with physical threats of removal, who also make arbitrary and nonsensical regulations at will such as you claiming that you cannot “exercise” in a sauna because it is unsafe, prohibit you from playing audio from small personal audio speakers while you are exercising for any length of time despite them blasting hard rock and hip hop throughout the facility speakers during the day.

The Olney OneLife Fitness Location has an outside exercise facility that has been in need of repair for several months, and have been prohibiting patrons from accessing it. If you go out there they will lock you out of the facility entirely even if it is to have a quiet moment of fresh air.

None of these details regarding Club Rules will be explicitly found in your fitness contract nor will there be sufficient physical signage around the facility explaining the Club Rules. This enables mismanaged sites like the Olney OneLife Fitness Center to exhibit extreme bias towards who they choose to regulate, and this tends to be autonomous fitness enthusiasts who do not need to pay for expensive training packages with their assortment of average trainers.

Instead you will have Trainers and Management staff continuously come up to you and disrupt your workout when they feel there is an issue and threaten to physically remove you or steal your equipment, call the police upon you, and/or terminate your contract for simply utilizing their exercise facilities or asking for a copy of the Club Rules.

When you ask to review the Contract to get a proper understanding of Club Rules, they will not give you a physical copy of the Agreement rather they will insist that you already received it via email. I have never witnessed such gross negligence at a fitness studio.

LA Fitness has significantly more locations at a cheaper price point, and offers the same if not more inclusive exercise modalities as OneLife Fitness and are not trying to coerce you into abiding by the unspoken rules of their sub-performance...

Paul R had an incredibly nasty attitude when I came as a guest. I told him I spoke to another worker 2 months ago when I first came as a guest visiting family from out of town that said I can come back as another guest to try out the gym. I was in between switching my gym from Lifetime to this one because of my extended stay in the state. Paul preceded to cut me off mid sentence and told me that won’t work and I have to pay double since I’m from out of town??? I give him my id and he proceeds to tell me I’m actually not even supposed to get the discount he’s going to give me. I told him the guest I was with needs to go to her training appointment so let’s just carry on with the process. He proceeds to tell me he doesn’t have to give me any discount I tell him charge me full price then because I don’t need the discount LOL. He slams my id down and I fill out info on the iPad. Another man comes and tries to lighten the situation. When I finish on the iPad he tells me Paul will pay me out. I go down the counter and stand in front of Paul with my wallet open and he blatantly ignores me. After talking to 3 new guests that walk in the man ends up coming up and telling me he will pay me out. LOL clearly bc I’m getting ignored. Paul was rude and ignorant and probably racist. I pay more than double for my gym membership at Lifetime and I will NOT be switching to OneLife. Never had these issues at any...

The reason why I’m giving this place a 1 star is because of management. Richard Feld at first was very nice when I signed up. I now see it was clearly an act to get my money. The next day I went in and I brought in my fiancé and cousin. I went to the front desk and let the employee know that my fiancé and cousin had 3 free day guest passes, the guy was very helpful and let us know one of the managers would activate the passes. Then the manager (Richard) came up to us and said we reeked, and demanded us to spray ourselves before coming into the gym (which at first we didn’t say anything because again we just want to workout). He then proceeded to ask my fiancée which club he went to and shamed him for going to planet fitness and carried on with “that’s not a gym, that’s only for cardio” He then began to say how my fiancé & cousin are leaches for using the 3 DAY FREE GUEST passes (which was given to me when signing up with onelife). I don’t understand how you expect to get business when the managers there discriminate and are verbally rude! I’m not sure if this act was because I am hispanic but this type of behavior should not be tolerated at all! It’s very unfortunate that such a nice place can have such rude discriminating managers.
