We actually ended up leaving without purchasing anything and will probably not go back. We were greeted at the door by a man, who measured my husband, then introduced us to a young woman who was going to help us find some slacks. They immediately ushered us to the racks of unfinished, extremely expensive dress pants, which was really not what we were looking for at all. We had been looking to spend about $80, the pants they were showing us were $179. It bothers me they didn't get more information from us--this was not a super special occasion, why would we buy a pair of pants that cost more than my dress? Having worked retail, I understand and heartily approve of trying to upsell, but they were WAY off the mark and actually seemed to pretend the other pants did not exist. (When I said we wanted ready-made pants, she still tried to pressure me into going with the unfinished ones.)
The girl who helped us WAS very nice and helpful, but I found it creepy that while we were there, although there were multiple male employees visible, it was only her and another girl helping the MALE customers, including right outside the dressing rooms. Why do they have only females manning the dressing rooms at Men's Warehouse? You don't see men working sales at Victoria's Secret, The girls were also not dressed very professionally (pretty sure one was wearing spandex, but it might have been tights with a short skirt), so I got a distinctly creepy vibe. The men seemed to be standing around talking, and the girls were the ones assisting male customers with their PANTS--a very weird visual. I suspect it's an issue with the local management, I find it extremely difficult to believe this is their style of service across the country.
The experience was disappointing overall because as far as I could tell the quality was good and I wouldn't mind buying some of their clothes for other occasions, but I did not like the feeling of being manipulated and not treated with respect (I feel they treat the customers like suckers by taking them to the expensive pants, hoping they'll feel too uncomfortable telling an attractive young woman they didn't want to spend so much.) We ended up going across the street to Dillards where a nice, professionally dressed MAN helped us assemble an entire outfit that was what we were...

TL;DR: Prioritized new business over customers already sold. Awful experience for wedding party.
I just had the worst customer service experience of my life at this store. I had an appointment booked for 6:30p and arrived at 6:15p. I waited at the check-out counter with myself, my brother, and his child for a fitting appointment for 20 minutes (no exaggeration - this is important!) before we were spoken to. Any employees we tried to approach told us it would be a minute.
At just after 6:30, a couple walked in to discuss their upcoming wedding. An employee immediately showed up and escorted them away. At 6:35, we moved again to the tailoring area to speak with an employee and we’re told it would be a minute. After a few more minutes of waiting, another employee showed up asking if we have been helped and we told them we have not and we were waiting for a fitting. He looked around and said “it will be a while”.
I then told him that we had an appointment for 6:30p and he stared at me blankly for a few seconds. He said he would check on that and be right back. After a minute, he returned to tell us that the person scheduled for the fitting took in the couple we saw earlier to perform their scheduling and told us it would be 30 minutes. We left shortly after to reschedule.
We are going here to be fitted for a wedding party and we were essentially treated like a guaranteed customer who could be delayed indefinitely because we are forced to purchase from this location for a wedding. I am still reeling a bit that our business and appointment was delayed to take in another wedding party instead. It was quite rude and inconsiderate, especially since we carved out times from our lives to be fitted to celebrate our brother’s wedding at this location!
I have had good experiences at other men’s wearhouses, but...
Read moreTHIS LOCATION RUINED THE MORNING OF OUR WEDDING! We get married this weekend August 3rd. We rented suits for the groomsmen months ago and were told they would be in the Wednesday before our wedding which is nerve racking already. The suits get in one groomsmen ordered from this location and all of our others ordered from the Dodge location. The Dodge location had a few measurements wrong but were able to overnight ship the suits so they will be here Friday. This oak view location where one of our groomsmen went told him his suit would come in SATURDAY AT 10AM! THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING! We obviously are busy and have plans that day and now have to cancel them for this places mistake! Not only did they measure him completely wrong which now it won’t be here until the day of?! We called and asked how the measuring was so wrong and the lady told us they measure you in a different brand than the one you order. WHY WOULD YOU MEASURE SOMEONE IN A DIFFERENT BRAND THAN THE $300 RENTAL SUIT THEY PAY FOR? Better yet we got no compensation for our poor groomsmen, no overnight shipping I guess and she said if they mess up again when it comes in the day of she will just “find a suit they have in the store he can wear.” In my wedding photos I paid thousands of dollars for? IM LIVID! This place is a dumpster fire and it’s just this location. You are men’s wearhouse for god sake this is your job to measure and get this correct and you can’t even do that let alone...
