Updated review. I need to update my review. We have been disappointed with all the changes at this place. It seems like upper management is all over the place with no structure. Hours have changed , there are lots of odds and ends things like pumpkin spice lemonade concentrate and a much less attentive butcher that wants to sit at the table relaxing and isn’t very welcoming when you go in to look at meat. Some of the things we regularly bought are hit or miss now like pork chops. I hope this place makes it because we enjoy having a place for good quality meat. Some of the core group of workers are still there who are knowledgeable and actually care about the place. ………… original review… We are pretty excited about discovering this place being in West Omaha. To start our outdoor cooking season this year we utilized The Mercato! At The Mercato you’ll find old fashioned butcher shop customer service, high quality meat, high quality cooking ingredients, homemade style breads and pastries and coffee drinks. They have a great rewards program and gave us a free package of stew meat when we signed up for it. You’ll find piedmont beef, Wagyu beef, grass fed and finished beef, whole chickens and a lot more. You’ll also find great customer service and this place is open on Sundays also which is hard to find for these type of butcher shops. Today we purchased a brisket and a whole chicken along with their Hard Core meat rub that made an incredible bark on our brisket today! We both agree it’s the best we’ve ever cooked at home. Our huge whole chicken we bought today was spatchcocked and cooked on our Santa Maria grill and is great quality. We got the grass finished ground beef and we are excited to try it! I love their pastries and their bread...

Ok so I am very dissatisfied with my last 2 visits here. I showed up a little after 7:30PM and they close at 8 PM on a Saturday night. This was the same as last time and the steaks in the main case are being put up because the individuals working were more worried about getting out of there than customer service. They gave me an attitude associated with getting out of there and said I believe there is some Ribeyes in the front vacuum sealed case which there was one that was half sized and did not look choice and I said I would like a fresh cut ribeye and New York strip and the cuts after opening when I got home were crummy! I have been to the Lincoln location and even Casa Bovina multiple times. So I would be warned if you go after 7pm on a Satuday night the selection will be limited and service of a restaurant that is closing in 30 minutes. This has happened twice. I only went there because Rustic Cuts in Council Bluffs was closed and I will make sure and support them (same distance from my house and way better service)! My bad of missing the Cut off of my go to place I am probably done with The Mercado in omaha unfortunately. Better service at...

Finally...we found a place where the beef where the quality is superb along with the treatment of the cattle is very well cared for. In addition, the selection and the layout is practical and beautifully presented as well reasonably priced. You have not only beef but large selection of breads.etc....everyone go in the Maple Omaha location and you will agree. We LOVE IT. In fact, it's our place to go for gifts from breads to meats. NO, I am just happy to give business to a place that treats their animals with dignity and proper peaceful environment. THE ONLY SUGGESTION IS FOR THEM TO PLACE UNDER THEIR SIGN ON THE BUILDING THE WORD, " BUTCHER SHOP"...I PROMISE YOU THIS WILL BRING IN MORE CUSTOMERS. Some people might think it's a mexican restaurant so add butcher shop and it will bring in...
