I walked in on my lunch break, just trying to enjoy a simple three-piece chicken combo. What I got felt more like a dare than a meal.
First off, the cashier ran out of beans. Okay, fine. But then she scooped some out of the warmer and, instead of replacing the old container filled with what looked like swamp water, she just dumped the new beans right into the old soup like it was a hot tub party. Delicious...NOT! I didn't eat any.
The rice? Mushy. Tasteless. Possibly a science experiment gone wrong. It had absorbed mystery water and surrendered all dignity. I skipped this too. Yuck!
Now the chicken. Brace yourself. I watched her take a drumstick and cut it into three pieces. Three. She practically gave me chicken confetti. Then she slapped a couple tortillas on the plate and slid it over like I was being punished. No smile, no eye contact, just pure "I don't get paid enough for this" energy.
The dining area looked like a food fight had broken out and no one survived. Napkins and trash everywhere. The salsa bar was sad. Underneath it was a full-on dumpster. The restroom? No soap. No paper towels. Just regrets.
Skip this place. Run to El Pollo Loco down the street like your lunch break depends on it. Trust me, your stomach will thank you. I...
Read moreI wish I can give half a star. I stopped to get some salsa molcajete. Waste of time the flavor was okay but real watery. I make salsa myself I was in a hurry I didn't have time to make salsa to take with me so I stopped and got this what a regret put it on top of my tostada and it literally just runs off like watery. Hardly any substance Chili's tomatoes onions garlic nothing was hardly in there. Not even worth the price these darn cheapskates nowadays are ripping everybody off but people still buy their product so they keep selling it like that people need to stop buying their stuff that their stuff go in the trash can and then maybe they'll start making it better more reasonable without raising the price. Like I mentioned it tastes good it's got a good flavor it's not hot but it's too darn watery I make salsa really good and I have people that buy you can put my salsa on a tostada and a burrito or anything it is not watery it's not watered down. The flavor is delicious, I didn't have time to make any, I could have the ingredients for about the price that I paid for one tub, but I'll be making some tomorrow for the super bowl I'll never buy their salsa again what a...
Read moreI went to this Cardenas market and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. This market is huge, clean, and very well organized. They offer a wide variety of goods for grocery shopping, making it a one-stop shop for all your needs. What sets this market apart is the range of additional services they provide. There is a restaurant inside, a well-stocked meat market, and even a tortilla factory, all of which add to the convenience and appeal of shopping here. The quality of goods is outstanding, ensuring that you get the best products available. One of the highlights is the abundance of self-checkouts, which makes the shopping process quick and efficient. However, my only issue was with the employee overseeing the self-checkout area. She seemed to be in a bad mood, which slightly dampened the experience. Overall, it was a great visit, and I highly recommend this market for its excellent variety and quality, despite the minor inconvenience with...
