I am a repeat customer of this diner. My past experiences have always been excellent. This visit was very very different. My waitress was very young inexperienced, and to be honest a bit rude. She even walked away from me and turned her back on me twice when I was in the middle of speaking to her. The second time she did that I had to actually call her back to the table and tell her she didn’t let me finish. We waited another ten minutes. So we waited a total time of 25 minutes for our food. When I received my plate, she never returned back to refill our drinks, or ask how the food was. My hashbrowns were extremely overcooked. I called the waitress back and asked if I could have new hashbrowns. When she went back to the cook, the cook made a negative comment. With my experiences so far I felt I needed to speak to a supervisor. The young lady waiting on me got even more of an attitude told me there was no supervisor running the store no manager and I would have to pay my bill and call another time. I didn’t take my leftover food home and just left. FOLLOWED UP; I spoke with the manager two days after this happened. She was anticipating my call. She scolded me about this review. She said she watched the video, and somehow knew who I was in the middle of the Tuesday shift. She said that my experience was nothing like what I described on my review. A lot happened during the call. I was extremely disappointed. I’m not gonna go into many details. It is what it is. But ironically, at the end of the call, the manager barred me from the diner and told me to never come back. I had already planned to...
Read moreI was excited about this place because Orange needed a good diner, but I ended up being disappointed. First off, my food was good. Now the problems. We waited to be seated for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged by any staff. Part of that was because the place was full so we had to wait for people to leave. Several tables finished and left and it took another 5 minutes before someone even attempted to clean the tables. After being sat by the Manager, it was another 5 minutes before we had a server approach our table. Once the young lady took our drink and food orders, it was at least another 5 minutes and while the Manager was walking by our table, she asked us if we had been waited on. We told her yes, and when she asked us what we were drinking, we told her two waters and a coffee. She brought those right to us. The staff DEFINITELY needs some training because they never pre-bussed each other's tables. They would walk right by other server's dirty tables empty-handed the whole time I was there. On a side note, our server brought our check quicker than we got the waters and coffee. Bottom line is: My food was good. Service was EXTREMELY in need of some training mainly by helping each other with pre-bussing. I've worked as a server and if our team did the things I witnessed, then we wouldn't have been open very long. I hope the staff gets better as this town needs a good sit down place to eat and this place could be so...
Read moreWorst customer service in my life! The little girl waiting tables, Alondra, was not only slow and inattentive, but her attitude cost her a $25 tip. Had to ask three times for the lemon my wife ordered with her water. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. "Everyone needs napkins?" Yes, princess - everyone needs napkins. Ordered wings as an appetizer that didn't show up until the rest of our lunch. Menu stated they came with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Asked for dressing, and was told they were out. Sent the wings back and asked that she take them off the check. A few minutes later, she came back, slammed the wings and some sort of sauce on the table, mumbled something rude, and walked away. I took them back to the counter and told her she can remove them because I was not paying for them. Had it just been my wife and I, we surely would've walked out right then and there and let them eat the cost of the food we ordered. But the kids were hungry, and the food was actually good, so we stayed. However, this spoiled little brat has no place in customer service. I considered asking for the owner / manager to discuss Alondra's attitude. But I realize it's probably a family run place and the princess can do no wrong in daddy's eyes, so it would have been futile. I paid our check for the food we ate, but, like I said, her prissy little attitude cost her about $25 today and we will...
