ALDI — Local services in Oregon

The food and dry goods selection is fair. The produce is fair often over ripe & priced to sell quickly. Plants & flowers are dying or damaged yet still on shelves until sold. Most specialty items are great deals! However, the clerks are most often stocking shelves and not at a register.

On this particular visit, the clerk was exiting the restroom with a mop & bucket in tow, not wearing gloves, and then from that task she went directly to the register. I only hope sanitary procedures were followed namely washing her hands...

Then tensions rose as she began to shove and slam my fish, produce and dry goods into a shopping cart! Any languid feelings of satisfaction and easiness I had while browsing the isles, which sometimes are blocked by a large machine loaded with boxes of bread or produce to stock, disappeared.

It's typical to walk out of Aldi's stressed because the clerks act as disconcerning overworked droids throwing food from the conveyor into a cart in an effort to move quickly to the next task.

Sugesstion: Please make the shopping experience easy for customers simply install self...

Aldis is the best model for grocery shopping. I can be in and out in 5-10 minutes with everything I need. They are well stocked. Onlu a couple times during the pandemic did i encounter oit od stock items due to hoarding/rushing. They actually have a policy on their flash sale items. (You can only buy one per person.)

Yesterday i was impressed that when I purchased a gift card someone from the office came out immediately and asked to see it. There was an error and the gift card was refunded to me. I mean, seconds and the office worker came out. Imagine if i had goven that away to someone and it hadnt worked!

This store has come a long way in last 20 years they have many items that do not contain MSG colors and other artificial preservatives they are getting a little more pricey however the quality offsets that everything they offer is very good and for those of you who do not carry cash they now accept credit cards Staples milk egg cheese bread unbelievable prices the last few years layoffs started to carry fresh fruits and vegetables some of the highest quality available and if you have never been to Aldi's buy some canned goods these are not your regular grocery store can goods you open the can the can is full...
