Kroger — Local services in Oregon

My local Kroger is newly renovated and amazing.I prefer to shop here instead of the other choices in oregon.I enjoy their fresh produce and more often then not they have fresh fruit on sale which is good for me because I drink smoothies for breakfast every morning.They have SUPERB SUSHI and I can't seem to get enough of it and it's rolled fresh daily by a very talented group of people and if you like SUSHI I recommend giving it a shot.Im a cheese lover and they do happen to have a great variety of different cheeses too.Dont get me started on the bakery because I love my carbs(which doesn't help my fitness journey),from breads,pretzels and doughnuts to mini cakes,specialty deserts and canolis♡.They have a fresh meat department which offers daily discount prices on certain items and I often find myself indulging in their lobster tails and crab legs.If your a drinker(personally I am not) they have a wide selection of brews and a walk in liquor department where you can find anything under the sun.They also offer wine tasting nights at their little bar down the isle at the end which is cool, so you can try it before you buy it. The rest is your normal grocery store with competitive prices especially if you have a Kroger card which anyone can achieve by stopping at the customer service desk and obtaining the paper work.Then one of my favorite things about shopping at Kroger, you save all the points you accumulate over the days during that month and use them toward your fuel and save on gas at their gas station which really puts the cherry on top of the Kroger sundae.So now that I'm done rambling about my ♡ for Kroger, I do recommend it and hope you enjoy shopping here as...

I did a pick up order and I was told it was done. So before I left my house I clicked "on the way." I get there and I was told my order was not ready. I asked the worker when it could possibly be ready like in a hour, two hours or more. He couldn't say. Mind you I had ordered my groceries the night before. It had been like 18 hours since I placed the order. I spent $250 (all of my grocery money for my family for the next few weeks) I couldn't ask for it back because I didn't want to wait days when I needed groceries then. I told the employee alright and left. Two hours went by and I didn't hear anything from Kroger's. So I called to see. They still didn't have a time frame of when my groceries would be ready. I was told I'd get a call in a hour about it. I once again NEVER got a call from them. So I waited TWO MORE HOURS. Then I called them AGAIN. This time it was ready. I should have gotten my groceries at noon I got them at five. I wrote corporate twice and all they said was "sorry they'd look into it" gave me $5 for the "inconvenience" $5! Are you serious I spent $250 of my money. It was tied up so I couldn't order from anywhere else until I got the refund. I have a compromised immune system. I've been doing the click list at Kroger's and Meijer since the pandemic started. I am so displeased with my experience and insulted they gave me $5 credit. I don't know what is going on with them, but I am not happy about my service at all. I am a frequent Shopper of Kroger I go two to three times a week. When I went in today my grocery shopping trip started out fine but when I got to the checkout lane it was a whole different story. There was no bagger so I bag my own groceries which was okay I understand staff is not available sometimes after I was done checking out I was standing at the end of the register getting my son ready to go outside when a cashier pushes a cart full of broken up boxes our way and the cart smacks right into mine in which my son was sitting in. That really upset me I felt like that was very neglectful to just carelessly push your car anywhere let alone in the direction of someone with a young child in their cart! At that point I felt like going up to the lady and letting her know that appreciate what she had just done but I just stayed silent and left. When I got out to car and took my money out of my pocket to put in my purse I realized that the cashier had shorted me a dollar. As if that wasn't bad enough when I got home my flaxseed meal has a best by day of January 29th 2019 so now I will have to make a trip all the way back to go return that and I do not live all that close to the store.
