UPDATED... Sept - My experience with Topshelf was the worst experience i’ve ever had! If i could do 0/-1 stars i would ! They could not communicate effectively, Ethan, the sales guy we worked closely with rushed through our order and sent us the completely wrong cabinets, color, and sizes. He then recommended us a Cabinet installer who actually ran with the $800 i gave him the first visit and went ghost on us, the job couldn’t be done the first time because we finally took everything out of the boxes and realized that we received the wrong cabinets. We had to wait months before we could even get the correct cabinets. Even after we received the correct cabinets and they sent a new person we still had to pay another $600, the measurements were off so now everything in my kitchen is crooked and a HUGE eye sore !!! There is no crown on any of the cabinets that were supposed to have them like ontop of our fridge and the top of our pantry. Everytime i reached out to them to help correct these mistakes it would take weeks for them to respond. They promise you better results than the pricing yet they rush through jobs and can’t even provide the simple results you were promised. We have tried to reach out the Topshelf to correct the final product but we have heard nothing but crickets from them, so here I am warning everyone about this company. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE !!!
UPDATE - 11/14. Due to my review catching the company's attention they were willing to come back and correct the job. I will say however they gave me more of a headache this time around than before. I simply asked for clear communication and they were unable to provide that. TopShelf does not take responsibility for their mistakes, they constantly blame the cabinet installer when it was their layout that was incorrect to begin with. They will blame everyone/everything else before they admit their wrong, they started blaming my walls and my appliances for why the cabinets didn't fit... LMFAO When working with TopShelf you work with several different parties for me, Ethan - the sales guys, Amy - the coordinator for countertops and cabinet installers, Stephen - the cabinet installers, the countertop company, Sam - head of operations and Paul - manager of the Orem location. Everyone has their own timeline and they do not work with your time. They often showed up to my house unannounced and no one was home to let them in. The other funny thing they do is ask you over and over and over again to remove/edit your honest reviews off their pages or else they would remove it for you. But this is what reviews are for right? In the end my kitchen looks so beautiful, as it should have looked the first time they worked on it. The eye sores are gone and its like a breath of fresh air. After so much headache and frustration the job is finally over and i am thanking God that I no longer have to deal with this company. My opinion still remains, save yourself from a load of frustration and go with a different company that is more professional and that will do everything for you all at once instead of forcing you to work with...
Read moreThe first part was fun. The design, selections, it was so much fun. Zack was definitely attentive during all that. Once installation came that was an entirely different story. First, Zack misunderstood the island so I grossly overpaid for columns that I settled on placing cabinet doors on each end instead of the requested framing. Not what I paid for or expected but, okay I guess. Installing started in Mid October. My kitchen is not complex. To this day it is not completed. 8 weeks now. I noticed a cabinet out of square, you can visually see it. I mentioned this numerous times, which, fell on deaf ears and was argued with. Needless to say, I had to hire a reputable company to come complete the install and fix almost every cabinet. The cabinet that was so off was were a 48” range hood goes, so it was definitely off. Let’s not mention they didn’t cover anything when they painted parts of the crown. That overspray ended up all over my brand new 48” range. All over the grates, enamel and stainless steel. I was assured they’d cover everywhere they worked. They did not and it was being installed when he was there. They piece milled my kitchen for two months, showing up after hours and running equipment late on school nights. It was an awful experience for me. Zack is decent to deal with, but…nothing like having to pay twice…installation was a nightmare. Let’s not forget that every handle is off and they blamed my handles. Cabinet experience, good. Installation,...

All showed the worst customer service but also no care or trust in their customers. We are Trusted General Contractors in the area that have been in business for over 15 years in Utah. I would never buy cabinets from them as a contractor and much less as a customer. Chandler Turpin will say whatever he needs to say to get a sale because then they try to get you with restocking fees after they make mistakes. Sam does nothing but watches while people get screwed. Then Jason tells us he trusts his employee more than us after he's holding our money already. We struggled to get our money back and he even accused us of doing a charge back on the transaction. Again I would more than reconsider if you ever want to buy from these guys. There are places in Salt Lake City where you can get better customer service and your cabinets actually show up. AMC Building Supply Salt lake city is where I would go instead. I got cabinets same day with AMC and now I can hit my Original Christmas Deadline with my customer. All before I still even get my money back from Top...
