It seemed like a great place to get a bite before an event at the KIA Center. Unfortunately there was no organization about how to order, where to stand in line to get a table or who can sit where. After asking some other customers and the bartender about what to do we were told to seat ourselves because they have open seating. Given that it was the standard Florida heat, we decided to open the umbrellas which were closed. After getting the first one open I decided to open another for other patrons. Then someone comes out claiming to be the owner yelled at me and cussing for opening his broken umbrellas and kicked us out without being able to order. Atmosphere seemed cool but the “owner’s” actions will keep me from trying to go back.
Edit Response: As soon as the bar manager walked out to the patio area he was rude with unnecessary language. The first and only interaction was him yelling "What are you doing!? Do I come into your house and break things?" The language only got worse from there. I was never asked not to use them. If there was a sign on the umbrellas it would have been much more understandable but living in FL my entire life I understand FL winds can happen quickly so the zip ties were not unheard of when umbrellas were not in use. Considering the situation, I admit, I could have asked an employee about opening them but since none were around I was trying to help my party and three other parties get some shade. Perhaps the umbrellas could be removed from the seating area until they are made operable again. With that being said, I hope you guys do well at handling large crowds...
Read moreSo first, the service was great. Victor and his associate were ever present and helped each other fluidly. If the rating was just on service, the restaurant would get 5 stars; however, the rest of the experience was so appalling it brings it down to a 1. Second, it was WARM! Although it was hot outside the doors were kept open. When I asked them to close them, they said the management (who has apparently never heard of a "We're Open!" sign), insisted on keeping them open. It was so warm, and we were dressed up for the event and did not want to sweat. If we had not been going to the Arena for a graduation, we would have left. Third, the food was completely mediocre to bad. The first burger was so salty, tough and overcooked we had to send it back. The flatbread pizza was NOT flatbread. It was two small round soggy crusted frozen pizzas that had one piece of pepperoni each, not enough cheese and came out barely warm. The fries were good and came out crisply and well-seasoned. Finally, the ladies room was absolutely disgusting. All three stalls were out of toilet paper and apparently women had started using hand towels which were all over the floor and had stopped up at least one of the toilets. The second stall was filled with unflushed #2 which had coated the entire inside, like it had tried to overflow and gradually went back down. I did not risk the third stall. Bottom line, if this restaurant is your only option, eat before you go to the...
Read moreWe decided to go for a drink and an appetizer before the Thomas Rhett concert on Saturday 9/16/23. What a mistake. Drinks were easy we got those upon ordering.
Unfortunately the Totchos took an hour, our name was NEVER called and when we complained where it was it was finally delivered and was NOT as described. (See description from the menu below)
No Pico & no jalapenos. We paid an extra $4.95 for chicken, very little on the order for the additional cost. I really do not think the cheese was even beer cheese. We love beer cheese.
Everyone that ordered after us was served, ate, and left for the show.
So, besides having a missing order, we had to both ask about, we received no apologies, and no discount off the order. If we hadn't had to eat ridiculously fast to run to get to our show, I'd have asked for a manager!
We will NEVER go back before any event at the Amway center.
