I unfortunately feel compelled to updated my review. We have used LNAC for years and always had a very positive experience.
However, over the last year or two, everything seems to be an upsell. They bring out an iPad full of recommendations each visit, totaling hundreds if not thousands of dollars, and it's your responsibility to ask what is completely necessary. (They've always done this, but it seems to have gotten worse.) You then feel guilty if you don't add services on. I understand they want to do everything necessary, but most of us are working on some kind of budget. Tell us what will help the most.
My older dog became very ill and we were in the office every few weeks trying to figure things out. Each time I left with unanswered questions. He eventually passed on. I got a voice mail several days later from Dr Lopez-Diaz. It sounded as if she was being forced into making this call and lacked all compassion. I would have rather not received a call at all. (It also made me wonder if I should have gotten a second opinion from another vet on his diagnosis. I try not to think about that.)
I decided to give them another chance as I was highly emotional with my last dogs situation, so I brought my puppy in. We saw Dr Lopez-Diaz once again. She looked at my puppy for about 45 seconds, give him his shots, said he looked good, then started to walk out to leave me with the assistant. I needed to ask a few questions- this is a new puppy. I haven't had a puppy in a long time! I asked three very basic questions and although she didn't roll her eyes visibly, it sure felt like she was on the inside. I was charged nearly $70 for this initial office visit, please pretend like you care.
I decided to switch vets to another local place and was so pleased with the service. They took time with me, answered my questions, and made me feel valued. (Oh, and they also didn't shove an ipad in my face with a bunch of unnecessary service...
Read moreThe absolute best veterinary experience I have ever had! We have been bringing our mini golden doodle since she was 8 weeks old (she is almost 3 years old now) and have never had a bad experience. Highlights of my experience so far:
The staff clearly loves animals and bring positive energy all the time, making our dog feel at ease and not at all scared.
The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and easily approachable. They also clearly love their job and the animals they work with.
Christmas party with giveaways! We won a raffle for half price on a dental cleaning (~$500 regularly) but our puppy was too young at the time to get a teeth cleaning, so they honored the coupon by giving us $250 off when we got her spayed. Completely unexpected and very much appreciated!
Our dog had heat exhaustion on her 2nd birthday from playing in the heat too long, the animal clinic got her an 8am appointment the following morning for urgent care!
They work with one of the most popular Vet Medical Records apps (VitusVet) making it easy to access all of the medical records and know when vaccines are due, etc.
They not only applied a military discount at our first visit but permanently associated that with our account and now we get a military discount every visit without even having to ask!
Overall, I highly recommend Lake Nona Animal Clinic if they have openings available, they fill up quick! Bonus pic of our...
Read moreThe staff were all very pleasant and sympathetic, gentle with our little guy and even had him purring the whole time. The assistant also went over a multi-tier cost plan to work with us since we had to make an immediate visit, and couldn't wait for paychecks to come through as our pet suffered. We'll be heading back to get the non-critical (but still very important) work done as soon as we get paid, and we really appreciate how they worked with us and were able to work out an affordable option for us to get him the critical care parts he needed right away. They were very patient and informative, happily answering our questions, and just overall generally pleasant and very helpful. The overall office demeanor was also positive and friendly.
As a former vet tech myself, back in the college days, I am more critical than most people of vets and pet stores, and cognizant of other little details as well. Things you might not know to look for that reveal exactly how clean and professional a place is, regardless of how it looks to the naked eye. They passed with flying colors. It's the little things that indicate the company cares about their employees and patients, which means a lot to me.
I would definitely recommend their services if your pet needs...
