I usually love going to this location since itās so close to both my home and gym (Crunch). This past Friday, after leaving the gym at 9:24 p.m., I stopped by to browse for furniture as I am currently remodeling my bedroom. I wasnāt aware the store was about to close. Shortly after I walked in, I heard the closing announcement and knew I needed to look quickly before heading out.
However, my experience was disappointing. A young female employee approached me and my husband, telling us directly that we needed to leave because the store was closed. As someone who manages a store myself, I would never allow my employees to handle a customer interaction in that manner. A better approach would have been to politely ask if we needed assistance finding something before closing, which would have made us feel welcomed rather than pushed out.
What made matters worse was overhearing the employee speak to a coworker, saying she didnāt understand why people come in so late knowing the store is closing. This was said loudly enough for us to hear, and it was unprofessional and discouraging. We were not the last customers in the store, and her frustration seemed unnecessaryāafter all, employees are being paid by customersā purchases.
Because of that interaction, I asked my husband to put back what he had and we left. I strongly encourage management to address this behavior. Customer service should always be the priority, and if a customer is already inside the store before closing, employees should focus on helping them rather than asking them to leave. Experiences like this affect customer loyalty, and I hope this feedback is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe manager and coordinator here are some of the most unprofessional people Iāve ever met. We called at 7pm to confirm they can accept a HomeGoods return and the person on the phone said yes. Before we left at 7:30pm we called again to make sure since it was going to rain. Sure enough as soon as we get there an hour later, the coordinator promptly tells us that they cannot about these returns. When we tell them we just called and confirm she makes up some excuse about lighting hitting the phones and that they donāt work. I call from the store and can see the call coming through but they have the ringer muted. The manager finally comes from the back after asking for her and with an attitude tells us sheās not accepting our returns and does not care who we talked to on the phone. She herself confirmed we called the correct store but that she was refusing to do the returns. This is unprofessional on all levels and we will not be returning to any TJ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStarting off by saying that Iām so happy thereās a TJ Maxx in the Lake Nona area. We really need this store, and we have one. And the people that work here are very sweet and professional.
But, there is WAY too much inventory at this location. It is stuffed to the brim, to the point that itās hard to navigate the store. Itās messy overall and reminiscent of a rummage sale (especially during the holidays).
This is not the employeesā fault; overall, management could do a better job of ensuring that all inventory is merchandised properly, even if thereās still an excess amount of stuff at this location.
I live very close to this store, yet Iām having to go to TJs that are further away to avoid going to this particular one. Please improve this store so it doesnāt function like a garage sale, and I will shop here...
