Worst Chipotle in North America. This place has a higher turnover than an Amazon Warehouse, and is not worth your time. I have been going to this location for many years and I have hit a point where I will not return.
I went in for my normal Chipotle run and asked for rice and was given a laughable amount (there was more bowl than there was rice). I order the same exact thing regularly at different Chipotle's, so I know when I'm being scammed. I asked them to put more, and they looked at me and said "That is going to be extra for more rice." RICE. The absolute cheapest thing on the menu. An item in which you can make POUNDS of it for next to nothing, and they have the gall to charge me $1.50 per bowl, for "Extra Rice" and the amount they give for "Extra" is less than what you'd get in total at another location. I don't even get protein on my bowl, yet they want to charge for extra RICE. Unbelievable. In addition to that, I don't think this location understands how to properly chop Cilantro (or don't get paid enough to care, I don't blame them, management issue). Each visit, there's a completely different experience with Rice. There's either an entire tree of Cilantro in my rice, or there's too much/little of the other ingredients.
There's also concerns of food safety here. The amount of times I've seen workers touch things with their gloves that ISN'T food, then go on to touch the food with the same gloved hand - is truly concerning. I saw a worker grab their phone from their pocket, answer it with their gloved hand, then continue to use that same hand to serve food instead of washing it or changing it. This is just a highlight, but I have seen this same behavior many times. Lack of washed hands, changed gloves, covered food, etc. It is truly concerning.
That's the trend with this location unfortunately. You will NEVER have the same experience each time you go. There's been people who do their jobs right, can wrap a burrito, and give you a correct amount of food -- and then most of the time you'll have the complete opposite experience.
Forget about mobile ordering from this location as well. You'll get a teaspoon of each of your toppings but surely get a pound of sour cream on top of it. You have a higher chance of winning a scratch off then getting what you paid for.
Let me be clear: I don't blame the workers for these issues. $13 an hour to work here is despicable. You can't live anywhere within 10 miles of this location and work here unless you live with your parents for free. This isn't assumption either - it's based off of your window sticker offering the (terrible) job to other people. I certainly hope they don't get paid that little. Just for reference, I pulled up other local jobs for pay comparison: Walmart: $16-18 an hour Publix: $15-20 an hour McDonalds $15-16 an hour
You get what you pay for Chipotle. You pay people low wages, you get low wage effort. This is why I almost never see the same people working here each time I had previously visited. They realize it's a waste of their time to work here for so little, and quit. This is a company whose stock has grown 40% in the last year. Shame.
This is a management issue by far, and I'd say it was one manager or another, but I've seen so many managers come and go at this location that this is either an owner's issue, or Chipotle Corporate issue. Either way, this place isn't worth your time, money, or effort.
Pros: Cons: Varying experiences with each visit Doesn't provide the proper amount of food you pay for Mobile ordering is terrible Long lines Location is very small, nowhere to really sit comfortably Rare for a person to wrap a burrito properly Rice always has too much Cilantro or improperly cut cilantro Food safety is terrible here Price for the food has risen CONSIDERABLY, while quality has dropped DRAMATICALLY Improperly charging you for guac if you get a veggie bowl/burrito Often missing proteins for some reason Very high turnover, which leads me to believe there are fundamental issues which cause all...
Read moreI have to start by saying I would give this restaurant negative scores if possible. I went into this location two nights in a row. But on the second night of ordering the exact same thing I was charged almost $4 dollars more the second time. I paid for my food but after receiving the receipt I asked the cashier why i was charged more this time. She immediately turned to a young man and he came over explaining that the price has always been what she charged me. I said ok well I've already paid and left the store. In my car I called to just find out the name of the manager that I had supposedly spoken to. He told me his name and he proceeded to argue that he was correct. I told him its no problem I've already paid so I am not certain why he's getting so upset. I am the one that over paid. So we hang up, about 3-5 minutes later my phone rings and its the young man manager again. He says he checked online as well as there system and I lied to him. I was instantly offended and appalled that he would call me back to argue some more and call me a liar. I stated to him that no longer will come to that store and I would contact the real manager in the am because he had no right calling me back. So I hung up the phone in beliefs that it was finally over. But NO!!! A female called claiming to be the manager and refusing to give her name. She kept calling me sir and as I started to get upset told me that I need to relax because I have no reason to be upset. Again I asked for her name and she hung up the phone. I called the restaurant multiple times as I went to return my dinner because at this point I felt so horrible and very harassed. Every time I called she would hang up the phone on me. When I walked into the store the entire staff left and went into the back leaving myself and about 5-8 customers standing in the restaurant. Then one of the cooks came out and told everyone that the restaurant was closed. At that point it was 8:15pm and they don't close until 10pm. Another cook as everyone exited told me to leave and I stated I just want my refund and I will leave and never return. The other cook that told the other customers they were closed locked the front doors. About 1 min later a police officer flies into the parking lot. The cashier lies to the police officer claiming I assaulted her with my food and they refused to give me a refund. After standing outside for 45mins looking like a criminal to anyone passing by with the police me also scared out of my mind that this is the day my life ends over a keto bowl at Chipotle. The second officer that arrived gave me a trespassing warning and said your refund is a CIVIL MATTER NOW! Luckily for me there was a good officer present and he got me a refund and the managers real contact info. The reason I just wrote this long review is so the people reading it can understand the level of unprofessionalism and the discrimination that was done! Its sad and disgusting. I promised myself I will tell anyone I care about not to go to that location or Chipotle in general. Calling the cops on me because I was harassed and asked for a refund is and was disgusting!!! Discrimination needs to stop and people stop calling the cops on every brown person you can't control and take...
Read moreI advise any person of color to stay away from this location in lake nona. Due to the racial profiling that happened Earlier today when we did a online order. While we were in the parking lot when the order came thru as ready to pick up. instead of my whole family getting out of the car my 17 year old brown son was sent In to retrieve the food we paid for! The bag was labeled with our family name. He was asked what the name was on the order, he told them the name then he was told no I need to see a order number so we screened shot it and for him to show the employees WHICH HE DID. Which was not enough Then he was told no we need to see a order number and a name together. Which was already produced. It got to the point that we had to go into the store and ask what the issue was. We were told 1. The printer is broken 2. we don't know the order so you need to tell us what you ordered. Which we proceeded to do but quickly realized the order would have never came thru as ready for pick up if it wasn't ready. The minute we question why would you lie and say the printer was broken and there was no other order waiting to be picked up another employee walked behind the counter and grabbed the food and handed to us that not only had the name but it also had a printed receipt in the bag. NEVER ONCE DID WE PRODUCE A ORDER NUMBER OR PROOF OF WHO WE WERE BUT MAGICALLY THE FOOD APPEARED. CHIPOTLE YOU NEED TO TREAT ALL CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY BECAUSE THE SAME WAY BECAUSE WE ALL PUT OUR PANTS ON THE SAME WAY AT THE END OF THE DAY. TEACH THE...
