Publix Super Market at the Groves at College Park — Restaurant in Orlando

Very disappointed in the Publix deli service that I got when ordering subs. My family and I got there two hours before close which is ample time and found that they had no toppings available for the subs or salads and when we asked if they were able to get more, they said that’s all we have for the night. But when my sister asked for more pickles which I was told they didn’t have anymore, a different associate got some from the back. But then said they couldn’t get anything else. We payed full price for our subs and salads without what we wanted. This would never happen at another sandwich restaurant. After we payed we asked to speak to a manager because the 5-8 customers behind us were having to deal with the same thing. We spoke to Johan and he basically just said they didn’t order enough product which might be why they are out. And that sometimes they partner with produce to get topping but they didn’t tonight. Very disappointing for a manager to just brush off this issue and not even say he would go to help out the deli which they needed. We watched him walk back the office. A deplorable experience this morning trying to get a publix meal today at around 1130am. I kindly asked for a grilled tender meal with rice just some slight beans on top as my first side and mac&cheese as my 2nd. She made an argument over the ordeal. Of the many years I've been a patron at Publix, there has never been an issue but this young lady made it her point to belittle me, telling me she's worked for 3 years (to prove a point) and acted like if had never ordered proper. I've been a regular for a very long time, my family has worked for the company and I've always enjoyed shopping here but today really ticked me off. I live a block away and it's such a shame to have this experience at this brand new local publix, I guess I'll go back to the edgewater location where it still feels like shopping is a pleasure. This is the WORST Publix I have ever been to! I came here on the first day and it was beautiful, clean and super organized. I recently went back a few more times and the quality has plummeted. The employees couldn’t make a sub to save their lives. The sandwich area is so dirty and covered in crumbs and toppings. The employee who was making my sub touched the garbage with her gloved hand and then started making my sub. The employees are more concerned with their phones than doing their job.

There was a woman who was stocking some sandwiches and wraps so sloppily and blocking the whole aisle. You can tell this store has bad management. It’s sad that the store manager got a brand new store and allowed the quality to decrease so rapidly. Someone from Publix corporate needs to come to this location to improve some things. It’s a shame because this is the closest Publix to my house but I’d rather made the drive to the College...
