I got my first super short haircut here last year! 💕 It was a lovely experience. I’m happy they let my ESA dog stay with me while I got my haircut. I walked in with my hair length to my shoulders, and I was ready to go super short to beat the Florida heat. I’m half Vietnamese and was looking for a SE-Asian owned hair salon that knew how to work with my hair type.

I don’t remember the name of the woman who did my haircut, but she was very kind and took her time with it. After showing her the inspiration photo, I told her this was the first time I had ever cut my hair that short. So she cut little by little until we found the length that felt right to me. I was super happy with how it turned out, and to see how much love and care my hairdresser put into making sure this short cut was perfect.

I really love this length of hair (I’ve actually kept it the same length until today!) The selfies I shared were taken within a day after getting my hair freshly cut at Nu’s, washed and unstyled. My friend went to get a haircut and soft perm and poor thing it was, without a doubt, the worst hair experience of her life. She went in expecting a professional service, and instead, they completely butchered her hair. She asked for one thing, and they did something entirely different—leaving her with fried, brittle, and lifeless hair that feels like straw. Her once silky, healthy hair is now a dry, damaged mess that looks and feels absolutely horrific. I feel so bad bc she literally had the most beautiful hair!

To make things even worse, the staff was beyond unprofessional. When she expressed her frustration, they laughed in her face and told her to deal with it, specifically saying “tell her it’s not the end of the world”. No apology, no accountability—just pure disrespect and carelessness.

I had high expectations for Nu’s Hair Salon, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I specifically booked an appointment with Nu, expecting the expertise and skill that the salon is supposedly known for. However, when I arrived, he completely disregarded my request and passed me off to someone else without any explanation.

The stylist I was given did not listen to anything I asked for. Despite my clear instructions, my hair turned out nothing like what I wanted. It felt like they were rushing through the appointment without any care or attention to detail. On top of that, the overall professionalism in the salon was lacking—no communication, no effort to make things right, just a complete waste of my time and money.
