3/5 on food since it was about average (takeout). Bit on the bland side but presentation for a to go was nice so, to me, can't be too harsh... Average it out.
Subtracted a point for customer service. I did receive the wrong appetizer. Staff was friendly, cannot speak poorly to that. However, their google search (that links directly with the menu) did not match the price of what I was charged.
I brought this up and the response was "that's not our website". To me it's not the price, it's the principal: you obviously keep up with your google results seeing a number of recent responses to customer reviews. Don't tell me you are not aware of the same platform and your pricing on the web... For the future, I would have swung to a 4 (instead of a 2 (even with the mixup on the appetizer)) if it simply would have been: "I'm sorry sir, that is a mixup, we will honor the price and get that corrected online". I don't care about the $3, I care about your customer service and feel you missed an opportunity to take care of a customer the proper way. It's the perception mixed with the fact that mathematically, you are looking at about a 15% price delta (that I do care about). It is misleading and as a percentage, that is a highly off basis number to what the customer expectation was.
Additionally, that is your problem, not the consumers and you lost me as a customer since customer experience is not the focus.
If I'm out with a group and they want to go here, I'd join to make it easy. That stated, I will not be returning on my own accord since there are other options in the area I enjoy more and the customer service at Pho88 (see above) was not up to par with similar establishments...
Read moreEvery visit to Pho 88 is a culinary journey straight to the heart of Vietnam. Located conveniently in Mills, this gem is arguably the best Vietnamese eatery in the Orlando area. Renowned for their exceptional pho, my wife and I are recurring patrons who have frequently indulged in the takeout service.
It is the pho that commands an ovation. It's a sensory delight, with its oxtail broth simmered to perfection, steeping the dish in deep, layered flavors that hint at a time-tested recipe. Every mouthful of their signature pho feels like a warm embrace, comforting yet invigorating, a harmonious blend of rich broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs.
The consistency in taste and quality is impressive, whether dining in or ordering takeout. It's a testament to their commitment to maintain traditional Vietnamese cooking standards, a rarity in the culinary landscape these days. Pho 88 hits the sweet spot every time, delivering a pho experience that is as satisfying as it is authentic.
What sets Pho 88 apart is not just their fantastic food but also their diligent service, making every order a seamless experience. My wife and I appreciate their prompt and professional approach. Their staff's attention to detail and dedication to delivering the best Vietnamese cuisine is a mark of excellence that sets them apart.

Read moreMy wife & I wanted some food outside of our culture so we went to a Vietnamese restaurant by the name of “Pho 88 Vietnamese Restaurant” in Orlando, Florida.
We arrived before two tables who both received not only their appetizers but food, while we didn’t receive either. One of the tables had a family of 5, which made it even more bizarre because they order the exact same appetizer with the same waiter!
My wife & I begin to take notice, so we decided to leave without speaking because of the blatant disrespect shown by this restaurant. Instead, we thought it was best to inform a receptionist standing near the front of the restaurant. This discussion turned into a degrading show, which ended with him waving his hands at us to go because he did not want to hear me tell him that this was racial discrimination. We remained calm the entire time as we decided to public confront this incident because their was no accountability, apology or regard for better shown on behalf of this restaurant. After all this we decided to have our lunch together at Longhorn Steakhouse.
S.N. This was our second chose for a Vietnamese restaurant to eat at because the original location we chose (Hawkers Asian Street Food) didn’t open until later that day around 3pm due to short staffing.
We were the only black people in the restaurant on top of this, if I could use 0 stars I would but I can’t. I hope they can learn to treat all their customers fairly regardless of their...
