It took me over a year to write this review. Dr. P missed my husband's skin cancer. This guy cares more about Botox and fillers than he does being an actual dermatologist. He barely looks at you for your annual appt. But if you mention you want something cosmetic, this guy jumps at the chance. And, he outright lied to me in a separate appt. I went in to check on something and somehow he convinced me I need some filler in my chin where I had bone loss. I told him repeatedly that I had a big meeting in Napa over the next few days and I can't risk it. He reassured me, I mean beyond reassured me, that I absolutely won't have any bruising and that I would actually look better for my appt. Well, I looked like I had been beaten in the face for my meetings. I tried to cover up the bruising as much as I could. As a Doctor, I took his word for it and trusted his judgment. He didn't care about me or my outcome or what would happen if things didn't go well. He is more interested in paying for his art collection in this office lobby and his new building.
When I called to talk to someone to ask what can I do to cover it up, they told me, of course, the doctor warned me this might happen. They pretty much called me a liar. I was floored. I trusted him and his staff. It wasn't a big deal until this moment. This is when I realized his staff and Dr. Palceski are unscrupulous. He reassured me countless times I would look better and I should go for it.
When I started telling other people how this ruined my meetings in Napa, I heard friends tell me their own horror stories of Dr. P and that's when I knew I needed to write this review.
He's missed countless skin cancers. My husband included. It wasn't until my husband continued to go in about this issue did he finally look into it. Other friends have told me how he just cares about cosmetic treatments.
And, as far as the cosmetic treatments go, now that I go to Dr. Clark for that stuff I'm a million times more happy with the outcome. He's not even good at Cosmetic Treatments! I didn't know this until I went somewhere else.
Oh, and let's talk about how every time he prescribes you a medication, it's a $400 something or other. I've gone to Walgreens countless times to deny the medication after I found out what it cost. And, we have awesome insurance. This guy just writes the newest thing and doesn't even give you a generic option that costs a fraction of the money.
If you're in Baldwin Park, check out Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. I finally had a good mole check! And, I've since taken all my kids there too. I can feel good that they were...
Read moreI was really hoping to have a positive experience with Dr. Palceski after reading the other positive reviews on here. I did not. This is an honest review. I called ahead for a quote, because I am a self-pay patient. I was given a price range, and was told it depended what type of visit I had. Made sense, so I booked an appointment -- at the next opening which was a month and half away. Upon visiting, I found the office to be very nice, and the front desk staff to be super friendly -- I filled out page (after page, after page) of medical history and detailed information about my concerns over my skin. I'm not sure why though, since I spent only a few fleeting moments with the doctor himself, who so clearly did not read over any of my medical history or concerns. He never touched my skin, or even got close enough to examine it thoroughly. He spent less than five minutes in the room with me, dismissing my concerns with a laugh, which was so not appropriate when I was truly seeking help for a problem I've had for so many years, and instead spoke over me to his nurse, firing off names of prescriptions to her. I requested that they be generic, and cost effective, since (again) I was a self-pay patient, and all costs would be coming out of my pocket. It's like he didn't hear a word I said. When I approached the desk to pay, totally confused over my very fast and very disappointing visit, I was (OF COURSE) charged the highest amount in the range I was given. I hate to know what kind of service you get for the cheaper cost! When I got to the pharmacy, with no clue really WHAT the three prescriptions were for, the pharmacist politely informed me that the total cost would be almost a thousand dollars. I was shocked. He showed me on the prescriptions where the doctor had checked all the boxes that said "Brand name medically necessary" despite my plea for generics. I clearly couldn't afford the $980 worth of meds, so I called the office and explained. The very sweet P.A. worked with me over a series of phone calls until we found a generic option for one thing, and coupons for the other two. I was so frustrated by that point though, I was in tears. I went to see my primary care physician a week later and she helped me find better, cost effective options...
Read moreVery professional, very clean office, excellent staff, everybody is very respectful and truly care about you. Nobody refers me this place is just close to my home, so I decided to go. And I'm very happy with everything. They answer the calls which is very important for me. If you have an emergency or you are concerned about your procedure after surgery, or whatever issue, they keep in touch with you all the time and by email you can send photos or leave a message and they will answer same day! No issues with extra payments or crazy charges or insurance tricks you know how crazy can be some offices. I just pay my normal co-pay that's all. And they let you know if is not cover.
I have surgery with Dr Palcesky he look like an actor but he is also very smart very professional and he can sew your skin like a master for Louis Vuitton. I had surgery in my forehead, and I was very scared. During the surgery it was no pain, after that yes, very swallow and painful but that is normal, I did everything they told me and my skin heal very well is just a small scar. And I can tell you for skin cancer they need to dig a little bit deep so you are going to be concerned and they know. So he make a special price in laser for cancer patients if you want it. But the scar is not bad at all. I keep visiting the office for different issues in my skin and they always take care of me Lauren is also very professional and she will take care of you with the best treatment in the science all the possibilities are available and they will help you with everything they have. They also gave me samples of a very expensive creams for my conditions . Is two offices which I found very convenient. I hope they never change the staff and if they do I hope is just for the best.
