Heirloom farmer's markets — Oro Valley

It's a fun place with a real diversity of vendors.

It's a great place to hold a farmer's market, plenty of open area so if you have some kids, can blow off some steam…the bathrooms are clean as well. There's also a museum there with lots of great history. It's called the Steam Pump Ranch. Some of the docents are really a type of living history. One of them was the former mayor in Oro Valley.

One of them was in the Tucson rodeo when she was a young cowgirl…. She was in her mid-eighties… "One of them was related to the original family that settled Steam Pump Ranch… I'm sure the museum changed their focus, but it was pretty cool..

Lots of dogs and some of them are quite friendly… They usually have some local group playing. When I was there, it was a kind of country Western bluegrass type band with a lot of style, It seemed like it was a bunch of old friends playing together and just making old timey music. The vendors were friendly and helpful with information about their products… There is a wide variety of fresh products for sale,  currently the focus is on the citrus  fruit harvest. They have several locations around they have fresh hot food vendors, grocery food vendors,a couple of bakeries, health and wellness vendors, and  artisans.

It's always fun to enjoy the fresh smells from roasting chili's to pupusas, homemade burritos, and homemade soups! Click on their website through Yelp to get details about vendors and artisans available at each...

A farmer's market is a place where farmers sell their products directly to consumers. I just moved here from out of state and gave the Oro Valley Farmer's Market a try. I didn't see a farmer in the place. I saw hobbyists and housewives selling their wares on the weekend. There were two small overpriced organic produce sellers but no other sellers of things that grow out of the ground on a farm. If you're looking for a mini swap meet, this place will suit your needs. But this isn't a traditional farmers market that...

Intimate , personal market with some real quality items from food, baked goods and fruits & vegetables including handmade gift ideas that may delight you. Check out the healing mushroom extracts booth... a hidden gem-- a healing angel amidst the hustle & bustle of this local market! Goods for anything that ails you!! Enjoy a stroll... look, listen & smell your way around the grounds, and oh, don't forget to breathe...and smile at your good fortune in discovering this...

The Oro Valley Fall Artisan Market is big and has many diverse vendors. That said, it’s not nearly as big as the 4th Ave Markets that come to town twice a year. This one was not as interesting to me overall, but if you hit all the booths you will likely discover something you like. We bought from 2 vendors. The food options are pretty limited. Net, it was nice and worth an hour of our time but not sure it was worth the drive from the East side to this Oro Valley venue. VictorB

Nice little farmers market with a decent variety of shops. Not a huge variety of fresh produce here, and what is available seems to go quickly. They have a variety of food carts / stalls selling freshly made food - you can take your food and eat at the picnic tables on the grass area. This past Saturday (April 8, 2023) they had some games and stuff set up for kids. Parking lot is dirt, and can be very dusty with vehicle traffic and any bit of wind.
