Fruit Shack Smoothies, Bowls and Fresh Juices — Restaurant in Oro Valley

My fiance and I have been enjoying smoothies from here for over a year now and we were very disappointed with what we saw today. Displayed on the front window of the store is a sign clearly stating that the locally owned franchise is enforcing masks and social distancing inside the building. What we saw when we entered the building was the exact opposite. Maskless customers crowding the store and a maskless employee handling the raw ingredients and customer orders on top of that. This is disgraceful and a blatant disregard for the business's supposed standards. Please, as a business, if you have no intention of enforcing safety protocols then please do not claim to do so with a big sign on the front window. It also should not matter if the employee deciding to not wear a mask is vaccinated. It has been proven and stated by the CDC that a vaccinated person can just as easily transmit the disease as any other unvaccinated person. The Only difference is that the vaccinated person lowered their own chances of severe illness if they themselves contract COVID19. What I walked into today was dishonest representation and a total disregard for honesty and integrity. I am not planning on returning to any location of Fruit Shack...

This message goes to the owner

July 26, 2023: I just went this morning around 9am to get smoothies for my family. The shop had one poor young lady getting killed with orders to the point that there was a 15-20 wait for orders, no exaggeration.

My Power Lifter smoothie was water and had no flavor. I threw it out (see video). None of us had our drinks, they went down the drain.

I don’t want to hear some excuse that someone called in sick, or the usual stories places will throw around when this happens.

If there’s a sick call, then the owner and their family show up. Or else, don’t open instead of selling garbage.

I don’t blame the poor young lady getting killed, it’s all the owner’s fault. I won’t be back for a while, I’m not in the practice of throwing...

My family of 5 walked in around 5:30pm tonight and were greeted with an attitude that let us know we were unwelcome by a kid/young man? Bleach dyed blonde hair hanging all over his face. He seemed irritated as we needed time to look at the menue since this was our first visit ever to this business. He left to tthe back. In walked a young woman he clearly knew because he was happy to greet her kindly and get the water she asked for right away and still showed no interest in helping us. We decided we wanted nothing from someone who couldn't be bothered and left. Sadly never got to taste the smoothies. Please make sure your employees know customer service. This kid lost you five customers...
