Feeling a bit annoyed with my visit to this theatre today! I come here almost every weekend to take my clients out and I have always brought my own drink because I have very strict dietary restriction due to having a gastric sleeve. I have always gone to pick up a sugar free coffee before coming to the movie with my clients because the cinema here doesn't carry anything I am able to drink besides water. So I was surprised when whom looked like was possibly the GM stopped me after purchasing my ticket and told me I couldn't take my coffee back with me. I explained my restrictions and why I bring my own drink and he said "well you can buy a water but you're not taking the drink back in the movie with you" he said I could drink it in the lobby but could not take it back with me. Now I totally understand wanting people to buy from your concession but it's not illegal to take your own drink back with you and my clients all bought food and drinks I even bought a popcorn, so I felt it was ridiculous to be denied taking in my own drink when their drink options don't include anything I can have besides water and I have never been told I can't take my drink back with me until today. I also explained to him that I was working and have brought my drink in multiple times when bringing clients to the movies here. As a person with very limited diet restrictions i would think taking a simple drink back with me would not be an issue especially since we all purchased items from the concession stand. It was also his attitude with me that I thought was rude I don't appreciate being talked to like a child which is exactly what he did. If there were another cinema option in town I would start taking my clients there because today was ridiculous. It wasn't worth the power struggle for a coffee so I threw the rest of it away. I know as far as it goes for me a and my family after that incident I won't be coming back unless it's for work but for my personal time I won't be patronizing this...
Read moreI went on frcmovies.com and I could not find a complete list of the showtimes the only two movies that were showing is no time to die and venom let there be carnage. Thinking that in this post Covid world maybe there were only two movies playing we agreed that we would see venom even though the boys were young and their parents thought they might be afraid. It was a special day that grandma had them early from school so we decided to see the only two movies that I thought were playing. When we got to the theater the posters outside didn’t reflect anything better for me to take the kids to see. When we approached the theater the manager opened up the exit door and asked us to enter there since there was a mess in the front where you buy the tickets so I never seen a complete list of all the movies they had to watch. When we requested our movie I did say that we wanted to watch Clifford the big red dog but I was told that that was not showing yet. I was never notified that they had the Addams family as a choice for my 10 and under grandsons to watch. We ended up spending $30 to go in and watch half a movie of which they were scared so we had to leave. I was very disappointing in our experience typically I love this theater and love to go on tight one Tuesday but I’m very angry at the money that I spent...
Read moreFeather River Cinemas Is hands down our all-time favorite movie theater. For several reasons. The theater is always so clean. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The snacks s are delicious and reasonable. The seats are so comfortable and modern. And to be honest, we have only gone to another theater twice since the new policies of having to choose your seating when you purchase your ticket. I prefer being able to change seating if we happen to be by someone that is distracting us, usually either by talking or by playing on their phone during the movie. If I'm paying to see a movie I want some control over my comfort and enjoyment. So I enjoy getting to the theater early so we can pick the seats we want. That just doesn't seem to work out with other theaters anymore. So 100%. We recommend Feather River Cinemas. It's worth the drive to Oroville if you don't already live here! We have driven to this theater even when we lived in Live...
