my friend and i did a walk in recently.. we have sat on how we felt about this situation whether to be mad or not..however we have gotten other professional opinions and are still very upset and validated we are not overreacting on this matter. to start off⊠they accepted us as a walk in, we wanted matching SIMPLE tattoos, were told the same artist couldnt do our tattoo and were reassured that they will do the same work since its a stencil. we even asked twice, but were shot down, so we trusted that the professionals and the customer service we were receiving were accurate and not to question them. then we have the stencil placed and the stencil was poor quality but accurate and where we wanted it. once we were done it wasnt until when we left that WE REALIZED WE GOT TWO DIFFERENT TATTOOS!!! we called and went back to let them know, then one of the artists were laughing at the mess ups and said it looks like âbooty cheeksâ bcuz thats really what we want to hear about a tattoo that they messed up behind our ears. then the guy that messed up the tattoo the worst barely said anything, no apologies, no explanation, etc. there was another artist at one point coming up and being nosey and saying it wasnt that bad and we should just add to the tattoo.. but this is not what we came in for and werent getting taken seriously or reassured. we HAD TO FORCE THEM TO TELL US OUR OPTIONS ON HOW WE COULD FIX THIS SITUATION. they offered to fix for free.. but i live far away and cant just come back. they werent very understanding, the blonde girl was nicer of the two, but we were very calm and trying to be understanding during this but again⊠NO ONE CALLED US TO TALK ABOUT THIS OR CARE AFTER THE FACT OR TO OFFER OUR MONEY BACK SO WE COULD GET IT FIXED FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESNT DO TATTOOS LIKE A TWO YEAR OLD! so unprofessional and a joke. photos below show the stencil being the same and the tattoos after. the work is poor quality and drawn outside of the stencil. we should even as walk in customers be able to trust a business and their artists. but this was nothing...
Read moreI don't know how to express how amazing this place and their staff is...... My girlfriend has some extensive scars all along her hands, forearms, upper thighs, and some more that she is very self conscious about. She's a young pretty girl and these scars have been holding her back and really make her feel bad about herself. After doing some research online, she went in and spoke with gumby. They came up with a beautiful design that covered up almost all of the scars on an entire hand and wrist. The experience could not have been better. Super clean shop, super friendly people, and amazing artwork. After her tattoo was finished and she was cleaning it off, gumby spoke with me and let me know that the shop would be covering every single one of her scars she wanted covered at NO charge. They said they wanted to help her put something on her body that she actually wants there. It's truly amazing to know there are still people out there like that who truly want to help other people. Thank you sooooooo much to Gumby and The Inkery for an amazing experience and for truly changing my girls life. You really have no idea what you've done for her, we cannot thank you enough! And we will both be coming back soon to...
Read moreIâm not even sure where to begin. About a quarter into my tattoo, my artist needed to take a short break. During that time, one of the owners confronted her about money/rent and proceeded to verbally assault her in front of everyoneâscreaming, yelling, and cursing. This happened not only in front of me, but also in front of other clients and employees.
As a customer, I felt extremely uncomfortable, even scared. The owner told my artist to pack up and leave and not finish my tattoo. As a professional, she tried to push through and finish, but she was clearly shaken and distraught. Understandably, it was difficult for her to focus, and the result showsâparts of my tattoo is incomplete and not quite right. This tattoo was meant to honor my dad, who just passed away less than two weeks ago, which makes it even more upsetting.
When I left, I was still shaking and honestly considered calling 911 because of how aggressive and unprofessional the situation became. If the owner doesnât care how his tantrum and rampage affect customers, I would strongly think twice about going to this place.
Lastly, I am left with an unfinished tattoo and no apology from the owners or the artist. Do better people, honestly, DO...
