My name is Clauce DeSouza, I am a loyal customer to this HomeGoods and just this month I have spent more than $3,000. Me and my daughter have never felt so disrespected and offend today on June 24th at 12:36pm by our cashier, BIL OUIS. I was checking out my merchandise and I was having a difficult time understanding our cashier because of language barriers, I had asked her where she was from, instead she said “No, I was born and raised here just like your daughter, I’m not like those immigrants that come from another place, like you.” Afterwards when me and my daughter were talking and laughing at something, she had the audacity to confront my 14 year old daughter by saying “What are you laughing at, are you laughing at me because if there’s something funny, I wanna laugh too”, I have always taught my daughter to respect her elders, but respect can go two ways and at that moment my daughter was left speechless and embarrassed. After she had confronted my daughter, I had immediately asked to switch cashiers but she kept making a fit with us and insisting we stayed so she could continue the transaction. Happened to find out from my partner we were being watched because they assumed he was taking something because he tied his already paid for stuff from another store bag up. I was wondering why they kept coming up to me asking if I needed help with something? Very strange to assume and stalk customers who are just trying to shop. I pay for everything with my hard earned money. They never ask if anyone needs help with anything so if they send 4 different people to ask if you need help, they will assume you’re taking from them. They did not allow me to take my goods when I asked for a district manager they gave me a number to a lady who literally told me good luck and hung up on me.
