I walked into Walgreens and stood in line to return some iHome Earphones. There were 2 people ahead of me, one being an African American female and the other an Caucasian male. I heard and saw the store associate Jeff, ask the African American female for her ID, (for whatever reason) after looking at her ID, he sat her ID back down on the counter instead of handing it to her. She picked it up and put it in her purse. Next, he started to ring out the Caucasian male, he asked if he had a balance reward, the male reached into his wallet and handed Jeff the card, Jeff then handed the male back his reward card. (I noticed that he didn’t sit the reward card on the counter). Then it was me, I mentioned that I have a return, but wanted to purchase some more earphone instead. I handed Jeff the receipt and after processing the return, he sat the receipt down on the counter, and once the cash drawer opened up, he sat my money down on top of the receipt. I asked him, "Are you not going to hand me my money, I handed you my receipt". He replies, "mmmmm, I'm germophobic". I told him, "I watched you grab the ID from the African American female and place it on the counter once you were done and watched you hand the Caucasian male back his reward card in his hand, and now you placed my money on the counter." I then told him, "you are not germophobic ". I then said, now can I speak with your manager. He then called for Casey. I walked over to the earphone and caught Casey in passing. I then mentioned to her, that I want to get these earphones and proceeded to tell her what transpired with Jeff. Casey was definitely apologetic. However in the time frame of me speaking with Casey, Jeff decided to confront me 3 times. In the first confrontation, Jeff says, "Would it feel better if I apologize". I looked at Casey and said, "I am not speaking with, I am speaking with you" She then said, "Jeff you need to walk away". He then says, “I am not racist”. I again said, “Casey I am not speaking with him”. He then pulls out some object, from either his pocket or around his neck lanyard that was pointy. At this time in the demeanor he was in, I felt he was very hostile, combative and unstable at the time. He then walks away, and stops and turn back around as I was still speaking with Casey. Jeff comes back and confront me 2 more times (at one time he mentioned he has been working at Walgreens for 8 years) and Casey had to tell him Jeff each time, to walk away. I mentioned to Casey if he is considered special needs I can somewhat understand, due to the fact I have a child that is special needs, but if he is not, this in unsafe. Casey then rang me out in photo. I mentioned to Casey, his apology is not acceptable as he didn’t decide to apologize until after the fact, I asked for a manager. This associate Jeff, probably has an issue with African Americans or females. Not sure, but with his demeanor and confrontation self, he has no place in customer service. I do not care how long Jeff has been with Walgreens and he has probably acted like this a few time while employed with Walgreens. I really felt unsafe with even walking near Jeff. He is very hostile and has no respect from customers or the company Walgreens. To Casey, thank you for stepping in to try and de-escalate Jeff, and for apologizing on numerous of occasion for my experience. In my opinion, Jeff should not continue to work for Walgreens. If google accepted "0" stars that is what i would rate Walgreens base off Jeff rude customer...
Read moreWorst customer service. Switching to CVS! Walgreens messes up by entering wrong dosage in their computer. So my prescription was delayed for insurance reasons. They also requested a prior authorization to my Dr, which they didn’t actually need. I went back and forth with my instance company and Walgreens (we wil call the Walgreens lady “C”) on the phone (in which Walgreens was NOT helpful). My insurance company finally just called Walgreens directly and helped them get it fixed in THEIR computer. I came in to pick up my prescription and C was very rude. No apology that they had screwed up. She actually was acting like I was putting her off and inconveniencing her. I asked her if they set their computer where this wouldn’t happen again. I asked her if she contacted my Dr to withdraw the PA request. She sighed and went to another computer and typed some things, then came back and started checking me out. Not once answering my questions. So i asked her again and she said “yes, I just did that”. I said “well, I didn’t know bc you didn’t say anything”. She didn’t apologize nor thank me. I had already went well over my work lunch break; or I would have tried speaking to the store manager. I just wanted to work together to get this fixed. This is a very big prescription for me and needs to go smoothly without a hitch next time. I’ve been going to this store for over 8 years. I’m feeling a...
Read more1 star is too many. Christina the store manager went on a rant about how curbside is meant for elder & disabled people. I am a literal partial amputee.. Aside the discrimination on disabled people- she then went on a rant about how coupons are not supposed to be used on curbside orders?? Which is obviously refused to process a return. Walgreens shows you all the coupons you can add to your pick up order right on the app?? Anyways my pick up order was missing 3 items. I figured I’d return it all and do it somewhere else. When I asked christina for a receipt on the return she scribbled “return” on my original receipt and insisted that was enough?? After I explained that was uncomfortable with only having “return” scribbled on my receipt she said well that’s what we do then RIPPED the bag out of my hands and told me it’s not my property anymore and i’m stealing ???? But again, I had no proof it was theirs or that they even processed a return other than “return” scribbled on a receipt.
Christina is literally discriminating against people with disabilities and then assaulting them when she gets angry. i’m literally shocked how evil she was. go to any other...
