College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving St Louis — Local services in Overland

BROKE MY DESK. Left half of my belongings behind, claiming that we had “too many boxes”. I would have been more than happy to pay extra for the additional boxes, but they simply refused the idea altogether. This forced me to pay extra money to rent a UHaul to move things myself….I have a heart condition and was even wearing my heart monitor when they saw me. My chest is killing me. They also outright lied and said that my partner was at fault for not reminding them that they needed to move the grill (my partner confirmed otherwise in a completely different conversation) and told me that I’d have to pay extra for them to go back and fix THEIR mistake, that they tried to cover up with a lie. The buying agent is breathing down my back to remove the additional boxes that they just refused to do, and my health can’t take this. My heart is pounding like a steam engine. They also left behind my cupboard, the shelves for my entertainment center, my vanity chair…..and several items I specifically told them to take out of the garage. In person, in the garage, I said “take this” and they left them. Never, ever again. Worst moving experience in my life. Photos show not nearly all the stuff they left behind. Some of them are open, which I get, but the rest they just were apparently too busy to take. It’s their job.

Edit: Contacted management, who simply denied everything because “our guys told us something else”. Here I have photographic proof, but apparently their “guys” are more to be believed than photographs. Thanks for the help, management! I’ve also included a photograph of the damage to the desk that I discovered today. They had initially mixed up my entertainment center and my desk, putting each one in the wrong room. I pointed this out to them and you would’ve thought I told them to walk three miles in the snow. The guy didn’t even respond to me when I told him. The desk appears to be permanently broken and I think it’s because they were so stinked up because they had to move it after THEIR mistake. Never again will I utilize them in...

The worst part about all this is it was done at a bus stop for pre-k kids and in front of all of the young children. This company was hired to move our apartments due to them being renovated. The first day they were here they parked right at the bus stop. I asked politely if they could move it for just 5 minutes until the bus came. The response I got was " We'll move it when it comes" so then I said I'll just go down to the office and tell them. Then I wasn't a man because I was telling and one was going to "stab" me. After they grabbed that guy another came at me saying he was going to "Slice" me up. Something so simple and there employee's were ready to kill me! If I was anyonel looking to hire this company I would definitely look else where. This company should be called "one good guy with a bunch of thugs". Edit: They were just fired for stealing from all the tenants at our apartment complex Fox Chase Apartments. They didn't get fired for threatening a life no by for stealing? Go figure

Edit: just had to call myself after 2.5 months waiting for a response and finally got the owner on the phone and was told he doesn't have anything to do with what went on and that my son now asking about his daddy being stabbed and sliced up is not his problem. Oh but it is seeing as YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE THE ONES WHO DID ALL THE WRONG DONE!!! DO NOT USE...

Update: I hired College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving again for junk removal when moving. A couch, washer, dryer, and a few other small items were removed in less than 30 minutes. The employees were efficient, kind, and very helpful!

Ben and Don were absolutely fantastic! They arrived in the middle of the two hour arrival window and apologized for not being there at the very beginning. They had completed a move earlier in the morning in pouring rain; however, you wouldn't have known it - they were so positive, friendly, and smiled the entire time. Moving my stuff out of my old apartment was a pain and required a walk to/from the truck - both Ben and Don kept reassuring me it wasn't a problem and they were running back and forth to get the work done quickly. Ben took time to walk me through all of the paperwork and was excellent to work with. When we arrived to the new apartment, everything was unloaded very quickly. They even took time to assemble my bed frame for me since I didn't know how to do it. They were so kind and took time to talk to me while working on the move. I am so appreciative for all of their help and was so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. I've already recommended College Hunks Hauling Junk to three different friends and will definitely recommend the company...
