Lion's Den — Local services in Owatonna

I’ve driven by it hundreds of times. It’s such a strange little area. An adult store that looks like it shares a building with a wrecker service. To older style Motels are next door as well as an old school diner type restaurant and a still open Perkins are within sight as I ventured in. “Adult Stores” are generally the same to me. At least as far as product. The Lions Den had a friendly knowledgable staff and two floors of everything needed to explore needs and desires. From magazines and dvds (sorry I didn’t notice any vhs or laser disc), candy, greeting cards, bachelorette items, clothing and toys, more toys and sophisticated toys too as well as large and “normal” sized too! They run a nice clean place with educated staff and follow all rules and regulations pertaining to an adult ‘super’ store. I do wish though they had Lions Den Super Store T-shirts. I have yet to find any adult store that sells their own t-shirts. Maybe next time. ...

Used to be a favorite stop, not anymore. The staff isn't knowledgeable about their sales, but that doesn't stop them from incorrectly telling customers trying to browse. When mistakes get made, you get told you have to come back and have a manager fix it. That's a lie. Manager doesn't take any responsibility, no apologies, blames the customer for not reading the flyer (received after purchase), admits employees didn't do their job, but refused to fix the mistakes. She was very rude and condescending and refused to answer any questions. Wasn't the first time the employees screwed up, and one of the previous visits we were accused of theft while waiting in line to check out. I'm done having my money stolen by a company that clearly doesn't care about their customers or the law. I'll spend my money at local shops and...

I was quite disappointed with my visit to this store last weekend. The lady that was working at the time was not at all helpful or knowledgeable about the products I asked her about. I was wanting to buy a vaporizer pen that cost $150, so of course I wanted to be able to get a closer look, know what all came in the package, etc. When I asked the sales associate for more info, she said that "wasn't her area of expertise" so I asked her if I could look at it, she said "no, I can't let you do that either." Needless to say, I didn't buy it. Ultimately, I should have gone to Pure Pleasure, rather than driving an hour out of my way to go to this store. I'd rather pay more for something than deal with rude, knowledge lacking...
