UPDATE: IT GOT WORSE - avoid theater 8 and 7 at all cost (see previous review below this one)
1/9/25 My wife and I went and saw "The Housemade" great movie by the way, highly recommend watching it but not here. If they give you a ticket to theater 7 or 8, immediately ask for a refund.
This time we were in theater 8, same issue with the poor screen blob right in the middle of the picture as I mentioned on my previous review (June 2024, see below) except this ones even worse. Audio was still dim except the movie was not taking up the full screen. It was a crop on all four sides (think of a thick black picture frame). Very annoying to pay for a theater experience to not only deal with a smaller movie screen that could have been cropped correctly to fit, but also the fact that the audio was low and the movie jumped and stuttered 3 different times throughout the showing. I'm not sure what has been going on with this place but they need new management or something to get it back in order, I figured after 1 year and a half they would fix the screen but little did I know it could get worse than just a poor visual experience. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to lower my review to one star from the original three stars, trying to give them grace previously. Do better
Previous Review: 3/5 Stars Been going to this movie theater for years because I'm from the area, it had been a couple years but we now live just down the road and went to go see Inside Out 2. Last time I was here the screen was flawless. Saw another post about theater 7 and let me tell you, they're not wrong! I noticed it the entire time and it was very obviously a poorly done repair job or just a damaged screen. If the screen is not great quality, I know it's expensive, but get a new one. Or don't play movies in that theater until the screen has ACTUALLY been repaired. Noticed it for the entirety of the movie, also the sound was very low compared to the last time I went to this theater. If I go back again I hope I have a better experience, very nice and helpful staff though! Otherwise I will be sticking with the longer drive over to Alamo or the IMAX in Springfield. Please fix...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I took our 8 and 10 year old to watch the new Avengers movie on Saturday 4/27 for the 6:30pm show at the Ozark/Nixa B&B Theater. We arrived at 6:00pm, got out tickets and snacks and were able to be seated by 6:15. Immediately upon entering the theater we noticed how muggy and hot it was, so I waited about 5 minutes and then went to let a staff member know. He told me that he would adjust the air and we should feel a difference shortly. I went back again about 25 minutes later to let him know that it actually seemed to be getting worse. He told me that he would turn it down further and it would probably just take a little bit to take effect as there were a lot of people in the theater. OKAY... trying to be patient and understanding, waited about 45-60 more minutes and than went to find him again. Couldn't hardly breathe in the theater and there were a lot of people complaining. There was another staff member there with him and she stated that she would open the doors to get the air flowing and that the theater room across from us was having the same issue, just that there is a lot of people. By this point it had to be over 90 degrees in there. I stood outside the theater door waiting until a manger walked by, and let her know that the theater was too hot to breathe in, and I had let their staff know several times. She said she was aware and that they had air issues as it had stopped working early that afternoon and she had been waiting over 6 hours for someone to call her back. So not only was the staff aware of the problem, they sold tickets knowing it was an issue so they didn't lose out on profit and than lied to customers that they were adjusting the air when they knew it was broken. That is ridiculous. I am 7 months pregnant and my hands and feet were both completely swollen twice their size from the heat and humidity by the time we left. I lost a lot of respect for a business that will put profit above the well-being and comfort of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEWARE OF THEATRE ROOM 7!! Iāve never had to complain or get a refund at a movie theater until today. There were multiple issues. The first was that there was a huge hole in the ceiling above us, and water was dripping down on the chair in front of us, so at first we just moved to ignore that issue, but then the 2nd issue was the picture was really blurry, like out of focus, and there was also a bright spot shining from behind the screen, in the middle area & the screen looked warped there; Iāve never seen this issue before at a theater. It looked horrible. We asked them if there was anything they could do to fix the issue with the screen & they said yes, and a lady followed us back into the room to āfix itā. After a while, the screen still looked the same, so we went back out to get a refund, and the female staff-member stated that she, āforgotā to fix the issue & apologized. Iām not sure how you go into a room immediately to fix an issue & just āforgetā why you came in there. Iām also not sure why theyāre even showing movies in that room with a huge hole that is leaking water from the ceiling. The last thing, which I normally wouldnāt even mention, and could have just dealt with it, if it was the ONLY issue, was the sound was abnormally loud on the right sideā¦like concert level, uncomfortably loud. If that were the only issue, we would have just dealt with it & said nothing, but at this point, itās just one more thing that convinced us to get a refund before the movie...
