Walked in at 9pm . Greeted promptly and sat immediately. Took around 6 minutes for waitress to get our drinks. However she did bring us chips and salsa while waiting . Decent selection of food. Decent atmosphere . Sports bar with a tv and college football playing. Only complaint, there was around 6 employees just sitting and being loud out in the dining room. Some were busing roiling silverware, I come to enjoy my food not the gossip of the restaurant crew.
We started off with Triple dip. Bean dip was phenomenal, Queso was standard, Guacamole was good , but had extra citrus flavor. Maybe a lil too much . My opinion needed more spice. But still delicious. Chips were fresh , hot and crunchy , not overly salted . And plentiful. They do not skimp on the amount they give.
Salsa is standard Mexican restaurant style salsa . It does contain Cumin , very prominent flavor .
1 plate of Quesabirria birria-style beef folded into a tortilla with melted cheese and served with a side of broth for dipping. The broth was out of Thai world with flavor .
1 person ordered white girl mexican food . Hard taco 🌮 ground beef and Cheese enchiladas. Those were good as ell . Served with rice and beans
Al pastor street tacos . Very flavorful, served with rice and beans and 3 tacos . The sauce they served with it. Appeared and tasted like an avocado green sauces. This dish would benefit from a spicier taco sauce
Last dish was pescado (fish) mojo de ajo with added shrimp sautéed in sweet roasted garlic, fresh avocado, onions, & tomatoes. Served with white rice & black beans. There was an added ingredient chopped up on top. Tasted like dehydrated ancho chili . It had the consistency of plastic tho . I just pushed it tongue side . This dish was only $18 and I’ve had worse for $30 at different Mexican restaurants.
Above all this place is top of the Mexican restaurants we will return

Read moreWow! Such flavorful food! Went here for the first time yesterday with my mom and daughter. I wasn't that hungry, but Mom had heard it was good. The chips were fresh, crisp, and warm; not too thin or too thick. They serve fresh, mild salsa in a small carafe with individual dipping dishes. I'm not a big salsa eater, but couldn't stop with this! They probably have spicier offerings, but this suited our tastes. My daughter and I shared a lunch special. The rice was the best Spanish rice I've ever eaten. It was cooked to perfection! Tender, but not mushy. The moist grains were not sticky at all. First time I've knowingly had Perauno beans - where have these creamy, almost buttery beans been all my life?!? The ground meat in our enchilada was delicious - not dry, seasoned beautifully. Mom had the chicken chimichanga lunch special. She loved the way the chicken was shredded - shorter pieces than the typical offerings and easier for her to eat. The shell was crisp. The drawbacks for her were that the pico de gallo was in bigger chunks than she's had in the past, and the sour cream was swirled on the salad and pico, rather than in a scoop on the side. We ordered a small helping of guacamole, which was generous, fresh, and scrumptious. I wish I'd been hungrier! All this with prompt, attentive service made for a great experience. We'll be back! Highly...
Read moreIt's been a busy day, we were all exhausted. Stopped in here to get some food (starving!) And what a pleasurable experience we had. Our waiter was above and beyond. He was kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel as if he was truly happy we were here. I don't believe in all my years, (over 50) I've ever had a waiter like him. The food was phenomenal. I've been diagnosed with alpha-gal, so I can't eat mammal meat. Add in a fish allergy, and im left with chicken or turkey. I love veggies, so I asked if I could order vegetarian fajitas, and add in chicken, he didn't even bat an eye, just was happy to make me happy. Dinner was amazing. The chips were fresh and crisp, the salsa wasn't to spicy, and the fajitas were amazing!! I will stop here again, when in thw area, they are right on the way to Branson off I65. If you want to go to a great authentic Mexican restaurant, with great customer service, I would highly recommend!! Thank you everyone at La Casita for finishing up our day with an amazing meal!! Ohhh, and kids meals were under $10! My grandson loved his...
