Called in an order for pick up. We wanted 2 waters to go with our $15.00 order. We paid at the drive thru received our order. After leaving the drive thru we realized that we didn't receive our waters. I parked and went inside to get them. They wanted to charge me $0.50 per WATER. So I asked for their water cups. They said this is for their water cups. I mentioned that I just spent $15.00 for food and you are wanting another dollar for WATER?? They said yes.
In my order were wontons. I asked for the sweet n sour sauce for them. They asked me for another $0.50. I WILL NEVER go back into this establishment again. They must be in dire straight for money to charge for things that most companies include in their pricing. Sounds like bad business practice to lose a customer over...
Read moreBetter than the other Chinese place in Ozark. The fried rice is served with sprouts in it, which adds a great texture to the already delicious fried rice. The spicy dishes aren't overly spicy, so if spice is your thing you'll have to aak for it to be spicier.
The menu is mostly standard Chinese/American fare. Nothing on the menu stands out as a must have, but it is all good. The sauce, like almost every Midwest Chinese place, for the dumplings isn't actually plumb sauce, but it is the closest around this area.
Servers are never overly helpful, but aren't rude either. Of you want a refill, most of the tone you'll have to go ask for it. The do a good jobof keeping the tables clean though so you can always find a clean...
Read moreI used to eat at Hong Kong Inn once a week for years. The prices have gone up, the quality has gone down. The sauce being served separate is depressing. I’d guess it’s about half the sauce that used to be included when the sauce was served over the chicken. The portions are smaller.
The food isn’t as flavorful as it once was. The menu is much smaller. The chicken tastes kind of gamey and tough now. The rice is odd, it tastes stale/old and almost inedible. The rice also has too many large chunks of onion now.
I can make my own Chinese food or splurge a little more on Yen Ching. I’m officially done giving them my business, and I know I’m not the one, as there are never many cars...
