Some purchases later after my original review, I can not tell you how caring Randy is. You can tell he cares about ALL his customers and that he represents the Mitchum name honorably. It doesn’t matter how much you are spending, he treats you like an official part of the “Mitchum family.” Julie, Hollie, Savannah, Jan, and the other ladies are amazing. Chris will show you anything without any judgement. He will help you get the MOST out of your budget. He is never pushy, and will never make you feel like you are wasting his time. He has helped me out many times and went out of his way to help me find the perfect pair of earrings that I had always been looking for. And then there’s Brandi. Always amazing and very welcoming. ALWAYS offers to clean our jewelry or take care of us in any way. She has worked very hard on finding me the perfect Alexandrite stone. She sold me a BEAUTIFUL pair of earrings and even gave me a promotion early to help with the cost. I was later able to trade in my earrings for an upgrade as they will give you every penny back that you paid on any diamond to help you upgrade when you’re ready....every time. They have made us feel beyond welcome every time from our first visit when my wife and I got our wedding set up, to our latest endeavors. Again, they always offer to clean and check our jewelry, even the FEW pieces that didn’t come from there. (Did I mention that they have two onsite jewlers!) If you need something, and want QUALITY, go to Mitchum Jewlers. I would say go there first, but you’re only gonna need to go there period. If you don’t see what you’re looking for in the store, they WILL get it for you. I don’t even know what you’d want, but I’m pretty sure they WILL get it. Read moreI have never ever gotten worse service from an outfit that is supposed to be classy, and charges exorbitant prices for their products and terrible service. I recently took 6 nice watches worth over $10,000 in there for new batteries and this was not the first time I've had this done there. I left instructions for them to call me when they had them ready, and 8 days later had heard absolutely nothing from them. I called to ask Randy what was going on, and never even received a call back from him. Since he didn't call be back, I called again and talked to one of his young ladies. She told me that the watches weren't ready because they were waiting on a common 2016 lithium battery to come in from their supplier. i asked her why they didn't just go to the closest drug store and buy one and was told that they "have to buy all their batteries from the same place". That is absolute malarkey! Without any courtesy callback from the owner, or anyone else for that matter and with no telling how long it was going to take to get my watches back, I went over there today carrying the needed battery. When she gave me the bill for six batteries, I couldn't believe it. They wanted $102 or $17 dollars apiece to change those batteries out. Mind you, these were nice watches, and I certainly didn't want them damaged, but that is ridiculous, and substantially more than ANY of the quality jewelry stores in Springfield would have charged, because I've called them to check on what they charge now. Randy was as rude as he could be when he finally called me back, and I have to say, that having lived on the east coast for 50 years, I'm used to price gouging, just not this badly in Ozark, MO. Read moreI go to Mitchum Jewelers for ALL my jewelry needs, large or small. Today I just needed to purchase two slim silver chains, have a broken silver chain fixed and a thin gold necklace unknotted. Julie was quick to meet me at the door and greeted me as an old friend. She cheerfully helped me pick out two new necklaces, unknotted my thin gold necklace and arranged to have the broken silver chain fixed. After I had checked out, I remembered that I needed a new wristwatch as I had fallen at home a while back and smashed my old one. Julie was happy to show me the ladies’ wristwatches at Mitchum’s and pointed out three styles she thought I would like. She was absolutely correct in her choices. I picked my favorite of the three. Julie helped me put it on and it fit perfectly. She rang up my purchase I was thrilled to be able to wear my new watch out the door.
I am always treated with courtesy, respect, and friendliness in Mitchum’s with no annoying sales pressure so it is a pleasure to do business with them. All of the jewelry I have purchased there through the years is of the highest quality and sold for a reasonable fair price. When I have old jewelry that needs repair (which means I didn’t buy it at Mitchum’s!), they do beautiful work with excellent craftsmanship that brings each piece back to life looking as good as new .
