FYI. October 2024.: The wooden walkway along the beach is still out of service. It was damaged in a Feb 2022 storm and hasn’t been fixed. There is still access to the beach for most people but it’s not suitable for someone with mobility issues as there are uneven steps that are not maintained. You then have to traipse through some thick (but beautiful) white sand to get to the beach where the walking is straight forward. If one of the holes on the adjacent golf course was damaged, I’m pretty sure that would have been repaired in a matter of days. If you are staying at the hotel on site, there is a fine operational path where you can get close to the beach which you should absolutely use to see the magnificent beach. It’s just disappointing that the wooden boardwalk that used to run parallel to the ocean north to the Asilomar Beach has not...

A serene place to hang out with - where nature meets culnary! We happened to visit their sticks restaurant over a weekend. Their service is great, they checked our preference on indoor/outdoor. We took the outdoors and it was a bliss - golf course, adjacent beach, deers roaming around, chilly breeze 🥰. We ordered for Gnocci and Nachos. Gnocci was creamy, the soft Gnoccis were ingrained with dense flavour, slender mushrooms added to the taste of it, the higlight of the dish was the roasted hazelnuts(never imagined nuts with pasta goes so well). The Nachos were heavily loaded with beans, cream, cheese, glucamole, chicken and Jalapeno. Very laidback and calm...

Love this place - beautiful sunsets! People like to surf here when the waves are right. There is parking and picnic tables. You need to pay entrance fee to 17 mile dr. You can see tide pools...
