Sunset Beach — Attraction in Pacific Grove

This part of God's country is so achingly beautiful. If you get a day with no clouds and no fog you're in for a treat! On your way in stop by Trader Joe's (or Safeway) and stock up on supplies. Be warned there are no restrooms anywhere along the beach. There are plenty of garbage cans so please do use them and pack any refuse you may have back out and keep our coast the way you found it. Then find a spot to park and head in and pick a spot. You can't pick a bad spot anywhere along this stretch of California coast. Parking is limited so be prepared to drop off your party and walk back to them after you've found a spot. The days are fantastic and the sunsets are spectacularly mesmerizing. If you can time your day trip to coincidence with the low tide you'll have a blast exploring the tide pools. Then there's the sunset, when you get that confluence of perfect weather, no fog or low clouds, all you can think about is how you can get back here tomorrow and do it again. South of Lover's Point, which is a very popular, if you keep going South along the coast (ocean on right side as u drive) There are many beautiful beaches with calm and clear water and Sunset Beach in Pacific Grove, is one of them. The temperature on this particular day was 78° so the water was bearable for toes dipping for at least 30 seconds. I would definitely be back to spend time and explore more of this area this summer.

The place to pull over and watch the sunset!!! I got completely off the road and faced my car towards the ocean! Amazing sunset!! Not the place to sit on sand and watch it’s from the car. If you want to sit on sand go down the street! Checkout my video and pictures....
