Marshalls — Local services in Palatka

My wife and I shop at Marshall's fairly regularly. And until today we have always had fairly good experiences. The manager or assistant manager or whatever she may be. (A mature lady of British descent, named Kristie) ran up to us with such urgency she literally startled me and my wife. When all we were doing was inquiring about keeping a bag that we had just purchased from a different store next door behind the counter, so there wasn't any speculation to why we were carrying bags around in their store. As is usually the rule and most stores especially around holidays. Thanks to a very pleasant cashier named Victoria apologizing and being understanding fixed our visit. I’m disappointed in this store. I recently purchased a cutting board and when I checked out I used Apple Pay, I accidentally pushed the cancel button and still owed for the item to be purchased. I looked at my Apple Pay account and it said purchased 31.00 on 11/15/24 at marshals in Palatka with the date but I didn’t get a receipt. So the management came up and told me it was canceled and their computer didn’t show any pending or purchases or “paid” so therefore I can’t get a receipt or refund and there was nothing I could do or nothing they could do except wait 24 hours and hopefully the money would refund or return to my Apple Pay Account. I was thrilled to learn a Marshall’s store was opening in Palatka. Loved the selection of designer clothes, shoes, and bags at my favorite store in Charlotte! The opening week was spot on with selection, displays that showcased the clothes, cleanliness, engaging staff etc… Fast forward a couple of months, the store can not be distinguished from Bealls outlet. Most of the clothing is surplus and looks picked over, customer service is not the same and the look of the store is more warehouse than boutique.
