I returned items I ordered from Amazon to my local Palm Coast Kohl's store. In a conversation with one of the store's associates, they mentioned the possibility of Amazon waiving shipping costs by sending my orders to Kohl's. So, I placed orders using my local Kohl's. These orders had student textbooks I needed for my studies. To my horror, I soon discovered after I placed my orders and after the orders shipped from Amazon (Amazon does not allow customers to change the shipping address once orders have shipped) that Kohl's does not receive customer packages at their stores.
One manager, as I dealt with 3 or 4 different managers, stated that the store would send any package back. Concerned about the textbooks I needed, I asked to speak to a higher-ranking manager who said their store would make an expectation considering the circumstances. I thanked her profusely. The following week, I received three orders at the store on three different days (January 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2023). On one of these three days, I called ahead to let the store know Amazon sent me a notification to my phone confirming a package was delivered to the store.
The associate I spoke to over the phone told me that they would open my package (Obstruction of Correspondence is illegal and a federal offense) and admitted to me when I arrived at the Kohl's Customer Service Desk that my package was opened by an associate. When I received my package, surely enough the box was opened. There was one more order. It was the last one of all the orders sent to the store by accident. On Monday, January 30th, 2023, I received a notification from Amazon.
Amazon delivered my order to the Kohl's store. The order was received according to my Amazon app. I went directly to the Customer Service Desk at the store to pick up my last package. One of the first managers who initially gave me grief about the package coming to the store said that they had not received the package. However, the notification told me otherwise.
I asked her to check and double check. She walked into a back office. Seemingly to appease me, she walked back to check and came back empty-handed. Frustrated with Amazon's confirmation in my phone and this manager's initial vow to return non-Kohl's packages back to Amazon, I left the store. Fortunately, this last package was a rare book, but not a textbook I needed for my studies.
The process of reordering the book would have created a headache for me. I decided instead to cancel the order and get my money back. Palm Coast Kohl's has taught me never to make the mistake of accidentally sending my packages to Kohl's stores again. I have learned my lesson. Very disappointed with middle management and Customer Service Desk for a less than stellar experience. I do not anticipate doing business directly with, perhaps, Kohl's as a whole and not this Palm Coast, Florida...
Read moreI called the Palm Coast Store in reference to a price match. They told me they do..I bring in a ad. I went to the store and Diane denied the ad and all the competitors offers. I called customer service and they honored the price process the order with no problem. with the ad i should Diane . Diane.. and Tami managers of the Palm coast stores treated me like no CS should be treated. I paid for the item to pick up the product and it was behind the counter with my name on it. Diane refuse to give me the order .I called customer after an hour at the store. Diane claimed Kohl's CS is not the store. CS provided a reference number and told me to pick up my order and Diane told me no.. She will not give me my order. I paid for this item. I had to the provide the toll free number to a manager who had no knowledge of the complaint department and all the employees had no clue. I had to call CS on my phone for Diane pretended to go to the back returned and stated no reference number existed and the had no knowledge of what I was talking about. I called CS in the Store waited another 30 minutes they pulled the reference number and complaint. Diane was pulling a control and gate keepers move instead of the cares model. This is not the first time this happens at the store that's claims no hassle returns. If you order online yo need to be careful not the same company as per Diane.. I even asked her to call Heather because of her lack of knowledge. Diane argued and refuse to listen. Diane asked where did I work. I told her retail as well and the difference is when online clients come in i give them the same CS and I don't state online and we are not the same company. In the end the case is open and i paid for something that the store has in stock and Diane refuse to give it to my kind. Whatever, that means.../thank you for your reply again Online and CS Toll free not the problem. I was told I would get a call no call no product and Kohl's store holding my product. this started on 01/08/21 today 01/11/21 at this point the cares model doesn't apply in store. I did more research this store more complaints on attitudes and the same issues. If anything you are correct. COACHING like ASAP.we are on day 14 0f...
Read moreI do a lot of shopping and have not been to the Palm Coast Kohl's in a while, so I decided to stop there today and use the 20% off coupon from RetailMeNot on two pairs of summer shoes. My day of shopping was great until I met the woman at the register. First, I had to listen to her hound this lady in front of me about getting a credit card over & over because she must not know that "no" really means "no." Then, I tell her that I will be using the 20% off coupon from RetailMeNot and she says that Kohl's does not honor the ones from RetailMeNot. I told her that a hundred people have used it at Kohl's today and I will be happy to go to a different register to use that 20% off. She says... "Well, I never heard of that one." As if SHE owns Kohl's and what she doesn't know really matters. Then she says that other people tried to use it yesterday and she didn't take it. Wow!!! Thankfully, the girl at the register behind her knew all about it and told her to take it. If she is working behind a register and is not letting people use valid coupons because SHE lacks knowledge, then perhaps she should not be sitting behind a register at all! Maybe, Kohl's can figure out who she is by looking at my receipt. Not sure. Other than the miserable encounter with yet another clueless employee of a Floriduh business, I really love Kohl's! They have really cute stuff and great selections. Knowledgeable employees are very hard to find in...
