Located in Prickly Pear Square, the Private Collection is a shopping paradise for high end and often one of a kind furnishings that are perfectly in line with the aesthetic this desert community loves. Taking up an entire city block with multiple buildings, the store offers excellent pieces from all design genres, including art deco, mid century modern, Victorian, Chinese antiquities and one of a kind art pieces. The prices are perhaps a bit under that of an antique store, with more whimsical merchandise offerings. This store can't be beat! The owner and staff are friendly and honest. TPC is clean, smells nice and all items are neatly on display. The inventory is of high quality and looks new. Great place for high quality home furnishings and art. Got screwed by their shipper who claims to have insured lamps and when they arrived broken, I'm out a bunch of money. Carrier says NOT insured at all; shipper cannot find paperwork and won't reimburse; Private Collection washes their hands of the situation.
