Really devastated! We so lack quality matcha spots here in the desert and I really wanted this one to be different. Their marketing is great and I really appreciate the kindness of the owners and I'm sure that alone will make them go very far!! I was genuinely looking forward to them setting themselves apart from the rest of the cafes here but unfortunately they're just like the rest. It takes a lot of courage to dedicate an entire business to solely matcha in the first place and thats why I had such high hopes. I went to one of their pop ups months ago and their flavorings are good however I'm truly disheartened with the over all matcha in general; completely tasteless. Matcha is supposed to have this wonderful earthy, umami, yet delicate on the pallet taste.. good enough to where I can order it without a flavoring and it will come through immediately! I can't even taste it with or without flavors being added. I will say their new location is very cute but for $30 for 2 matchas just because I wanted it to be the same color green as the girl in front of me who didn't order an "extra shot" is in my opinion INSANE... & it tastes like water... very sad.. I guess I'll continue commute two hours to LA & stand in a 3 hour line at community goods for a matcha...
Read moreI was in town and googled best places for matcha and Buena Matcha came up. But I was skeptical because they only had 4.6 stars. But when I got there and saw there was people outside and inside and when I went to see the menu and the workers were so helpful and knowledgeable. I was giddy!! This place should have five stars!! They have organic ceremonial grade Matcha. They have syrups that are made with real cane sugar. I ordered the iced Matcha with almond milk and lavender syrup with cinnamon blended in. It was honestly the best Matcha I have ever had!! No chalky flavor. I could taste each individual flavor, but they mixed so well together! They told me several times if I did not like the drink, they would remake it!! But don’t worry, it was terrific! I would definitely recommend this place and come back!! See you...
Read moreI wasn’t much of a matcha fan at first, but after being coached by my wife to try her favorite matcha bar, I can honestly say it’s now the only place I’m willing to go! After reading some of the other reviews, I felt the need to address a few points: the price is absolutely worth it because of the quality and process involved. The syrup is organic and locally sourced, as are the dried fruits. (I’ll admit, I found the fruit toppings a bit unusual at first... but they are absolutely delicious, and have become my favorite part!) The staff is incredibly pleasant, attentive, and "if I may say" gorgeous. I’m officially a big fan of Buena Matcha, and it’s the only place I’ll go to enjoy one. My sincere thanks to everyone there for making each visit such a great experience. You girls are...
