FTR: I do not expect anything from anyone. Nothing for free. No special treatment. I do not pull the disability card. Roberto is in the top 10% of most heartless people I've personally encountered in my life.We will not step foot in there again. My son, TJ, 22 and LF Autistic and I have shopped there forever. We had not been in few years but we kept getting referred for my son to sell some comic books, so we went last weekend. TJ has wanted to sell for over 2 years. We had to work on organizing. We focused on separationanxiety. Then we worked on buyer/sellers remorse, as change is not something TJ enjoys. He just wanted to get a few bucks and feel like he succeeded in something that was a long process. Tj doesn't grasp the value of a dollar. To him, money is money and $1, $10 or $100 are all the same to him. That being said, I felt confident. I had him call prior to see if they purchased outside comics. He was told yes. Just making a phone call to a business to ask questions has taken almost a year of practice. Needless to say he was excited! Roberto came over and introduced himself. He started looking through his books and yes, I was aware of said value and signs of usage. He declined to purchase. I, am, in no way questioning why he didn't purchase. I asked him if he could buy one or two for like $2 and I would turn around and buy them back because it is so important to my son to sell something. Answer was no. Roberto suggested I sell the lot on FB market place for $100 easy, especially because he has trading books. He even explained how I should display them in photos for the post. I then explained that my son was LF Autistic and that it would literally mean the world to him if he sold anything and would he please just buy one or two and I'd give the money right back etc. NO. I explained that after my son worked all the way to calling and going was a HUGE accomplishment. I explained that if we left there and not one thing sold, I would be picking up pieces of devastation and defeat for days. I'm tearing up at this point in the store, because, I dont often share his diagnosis to strangers and this one stung. The nice employee behind the glass case was nodding along. To me, he understood exactly what I was asking. As we left, I told my son, he didn't sell any comics but "I was told we could sell on FB". My son said "yeah like that will work. Nothing works for me." In the car, the break-down begins. Crying and heart broken. Days of it. Prior to the comic book fail. I tried to talk to Roberto about other items and interests, I was dismissed as if I could never be as important as him.
You can tell a lot about people with how they treat others.

Read moreExtremely disappointed in this store. Customer service is horrible. I ask an employee for an item for one of my graded cards, I show him the card and his response was that heâs never heard of that grading company and he said it with a tone as if he thought it was funny because I got it graded by one of the lesser known grading companies. He asked another employee if they had the item I was looking for and he showed him the card and also said to him âI doubt you heard of that grading companyâ. Excuse me but why does that matter and besides, I didnât ask you if youâve heard of the company. Then I ask him about another product I seen and what it was for and he had no idea and instead of finding out for me, he just put it down and walked away. Then I was looking at cards and making selections, I wasnât done and he just walks away again so I just stood there waiting and another employee came and finished helping me. Then I was looking at another case with cards in it and I was told I could open that one myself to make my selections so as I was doing that, another employee walked up and stood practically on top of me and got agitated as I was getting a card and said to point out what I wanted and he will get it. As I continued walking around the store looking at stuff, I had an employee on my tail asking âis there anything else I can help you findâ, normally itâs not a bad thing but it was said with a tone where they might as well have said âcan you hurry up and get the h* out of hereâ. As I was leaving, I noticed they had flyers for card shows in the area and on those flyers was the company that graded my card as one of the sponsors of the shows, so I showed the employee who practically laughed in my face, and he could care less. First time I was ever treated like trash in a card store, Iâll never go back to that place, Iâd give 0...

This is the second time I've gone into this location for comics, and it'll probably be the last. Their employees are over attentive to the point it feels you're being watched and rushed. "Hi welcome in. Let us know if you need any help finding something." is sufficient enough for a customer. They don't need an employee with no uniform following and watching closely, and asking if they need help multiple times. It made me very uncomfortable because at first I thought it was just another customer following weirdly close, but then they said "Can I help you find anything?" tipping me off that they work there. In their defense, maybe shop lifting is a big problem for them so they're having to be this way to protect themselves and their products. However the interactions with them also weren't the most pleasant. Nothing too bad, just enough to make me not wanna shop there anymore.
I came in looking for a newly released comic and didn't wanna drive to emerald City so I thought I'd give this place another shot, but when I got there and asked someone if they had it in yet, their response about how 'there's no way they can get comics by their release date like that' (even though it was days after the release date for the new comic) and the tone they had just rubbed me wrong.
I wrote this review in hopes maybe they'll address this and can make some changes so that their store will be more inviting, welcoming and give customers a more...
