TLDR: Do not order from Private Label Styles. I placed an online order from this seller and never received my item. I placed an order for one item back in August of 2023. After about a week, I had not received any updates, so I reached out and was told it would I take about 3 weeks to receive my item. After about 4 weeks, I still had not heard/ received anything, so I tried to message them again several times over the next couple weeks. I never received another true update. Once they did respond saying they would look into it and get back to me in an email, but I never received an email update. I tried calling their number several times and no one would answer the phone either. So, I filed a dispute with my bank to get my money back. Private Label Styles waited until the last couple days to respond to my bank with false information saying they had shipped my item to the address I provided, but they didn’t provide a tracking number or evidence. I then had to wait even longer to receive my money since a second dispute round was required because of Private Label Styles’s misinformation. In late December, Visa did declare in my favor though, and I luckily was not out any money, just time, for this ordeal. Also, if Private Label Styles bothers themselves to respond to this review, that just shows the kind of company they are.

I commissioned a custom dress for a very important wedding and was very clear about my expectations, timeline, and the level of quality I was paying for. I met with Genavieve in person to ensure that measurements were taken correctly and that there would be no misunderstandings in my expectations.
Unfortunately, after multiple delays which she claimed was related to shipping delays from her manufacturer what I received at the fitting was far from what was promised — the dress looked cheap-(dollar store rhinestones glued on a fluffy mess of uneven tulle), rushed, and bore little resemblance to what we had discussed. It was not wearable and so bad that she acknowledged it was not what I had ordered and I was assured it was a mistake and that it would be corrected in time. However, after multiple delays and broken promises, I was told — just four days before the event — that the dress could not be delivered at all. This left me completely without an outfit for the wedding. What’s most frustrating is not just the poor quality, but the lack of accountability and professionalism. When I told her I would be traveling an hour with two little kids to come to her store and asked her if the dress was ready for the fitting she delayed multiple times then had the nerve to tell me yes when she knew it was not salvageable. She even told me it was beautiful but wouldn’t send a picture when I requested multiple times. If I had been told earlier that the dress wouldn’t be ready, I could have made other arrangements. Read moreI ordered a dress from Private Label in 2024 for a wedding, and while the design was absolutely magical, my overall experience was deeply disappointing.
The dress arrived significantly later than expected — a few days before the event — and to make matters worse, the top part of the two-piece dress was the wrong size, at least two sizes too large (I had ordered a standard size, not tailored). Because of the shipping delays, partly due to hurricane season, I didn’t have the option to return it in time. I had to rely on my mother to tailor it just enough to make it wearable for the wedding.
Afterward, I contacted the company asking if they could help me get it professionally resized so I could re-sell it. They agreed and provided a return address. I shipped out the top part of the dress on November 27, 2024. As of July 23, 2025, I still have not received my dress back.
Over the months, I’ve followed up multiple times via email. Each time I was told it would ship out “tomorrow,” but those promises were never fulfilled. Recently, the company has stopped responding entirely, leaving me without the dress and with no clear resolution.
