I was so excited to hear that Pinecrest finally opened a dog park for residents! After dropping my kids off at PES, I decided to check it out today. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to get in. Apparently, you have to park at the 132nd lot and walk to the entrance, but I parked in the main lot and couldn’t find a way in from there. My poor dog ended up going to the bathroom right outside the park, and since the dog bags are behind the fence, I had to walk all the way back to the car to grab a bag. In the end, I gave up trying to get in because I didn’t want to drive to the other side of the park just to find the entrance. It would be great if they added another entrance closer to the parking area or at least put up some signs with parking and entry info. We will try to come back for hopefully a more successful visit another day but was overall disappointed at the Village poor planning and...

The park is smaller than others I’ve visited but I actually enjoyed that because it was easier to remain engaged with my dog while he played. The only downside in my opinion is the parking. The entrance to the dog park was a little tricky because one of the gates had a padlock on it so I needed to walk around to the side entrance. No big deal parks are for the active.
