I had no problem with the doctor. Dr. Liu is friendly and seems knowledgeable.

My trouble was with billing --the staff doesn't seem very knowledgeable about the insurance plans. I double checked whether the dr was on network for my insurance and provided all my insurance info beforehand, but they failed to provide me correct information. They assured me the dr was on network and the checkup would be 100% covered, but only to find out after the check up that the dr was actually NOT on the network (that is, prompted by another inquiry of mine).

After they found out that info, they promised me to cover the already-completed check up as a courtesy, but they ended up not honoring it. (I admit I didn't get a written confirmation of that promise; I just believed the conversation with a representative over the phone). So I ended up paying significant portion of the fee myself. And I never received any apologies.

Bottom line: You'll have to know YOURSELF all the details of your insurance plan and whether this office is contracted with it, and on what level. It's better not to simply believe what the office says at the time of making appmts; better to check it out yourself. And for any important info over phone conversation, better to get a copy of written (email) confirmation.

I'm writing this only to inform future patients.

For delta dental, Dr Liu is in premere network but not in PPO network. Checkups should be 100% covered only with dentists in the particular network of your insurance plan. So if you have PPO plans, your checkup won't be covered 100% in this office no matter what the office says...

We have been seeing Dr. Liu for 15 years. All 3 of my kids see him and I started seeing his wife Dr. Ann Ho who is in the same office. They provide excellent dental care and stay up to date with all advancements. We unfortunately had to contact Dr. Liu with a dental emergency and he was incredibly accommodating after hours. The office has video screens for the kids and they have a gentle way with the children. I’ve seen kids arrive here nervous and crying for their first visit only to be treated with a kind professionalism and they leave smiling with a pretty significant toy from the treasure corner. My ONLY complaint is that my kids usually managed to drive me insane in the car on the way home with said toys. Pro tip- if you have multiple kids, they can play with the toy once they get home! But seriously, this is a fantastic pediatric dental office and I wholeheartedly...

Dr. Liu and his staff took care of my 10 year old's dental needs recently. She enjoyed her visit and that is partly because Dr. Liu and his staff made her feel comfortable and at ease during her entire check up.

What a pleasure it is to come into a beautiful dental office with such knowledgeable and helpful staff. A few extra perks for my daughter are movies while you wait and goodies after the dental check up.

Lastly, I think it is important when a dentist really connect with the little patient. Dr. Liu did just that! He was excellent in keeping my daughter comfortable(anxiety-free) during her dental exam. Furthermore, Dr. Liu was wonderful in keeping my daughter engaged in her dental exam---asking her questions, suggesting additional dental tips all done in a very light-hearted manner.
