Arena Comics & Gaming Inc — Local services in Panama City

The place was shockingly one of the best DnD locations I’ve ever been to with a variety of groups all being played on Wednesday with quite a few players LFG as well. As far as DnD is concerned, they have everything you could want or need for the game including miniatures, books, covers, dice holders, and whatever else you can think of.

It has a small selection of board games and comics but those are probably the biggest in the area besides Comic’s emporium.

The woman who typically runs the shop was very helpful and friendly and answered any questions I had about the area and games being played. They have a very large selection of toys which, while too expensive for me, I think should be mentioned if that’s your thing. No Zoids that I could see.

Theres tons of space to play and the place is pretty dead before 5 if you want to hang out and kill time. This place has a mini self checkout food stand with drinks and snacks that were reasonably priced. It seems like the groups here like TTRPG’s more than anything else, but they have FNM here of course. I saw two tables for 40k.

Arena is pretty great! They have a decent selection of back issues. The ones in the bins are bagged / boarded, and are reasonably priced at around $3.00 each. They have slabs displayed behind the counter if that's your thing, action figures, models and warhammer 40k supplies. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and neat. The only complaint (and it's honestly not really a complaint, just more of a convenience thing) is the dollar boxes are not really organized beyond a letter, which means you have to go through every book in a letter to see if they have that issue you're chasing. Again, it's not really a complaint; if it was more organized the customer wouldn't have to spend as long of a time going through the entire letter to see if an issue is there.

I love this shop so much. The first time I went in the staff treated me so well and didn't hesitate to help me set up a pull list (which is something that the other shops in town never even offered to do.) By my second visit, the boss knew my name and was making recommendations based on my pull list. Every time I visited, the staff made me feel so welcome. I can't say enough about the service, and the comics selection is excellent, as well. The other shops around PC can be pretty inconsistent with their stock, but I never missed an issue here. I can't speak to the tabletop gaming, but I do know that whenever I visit everyone seems to be having a good time. All in all, its just an outstanding comic shop experience! Please give them all...
